"Wait… wait…" Evelyn said, her hand stretched out, halting Lionel mid-motion. Her brows furrowed, frustration etched into her features.
"How can you still not understand how to do this? I've been showing you for ages," she asked, her tone sharp as she snatched the raptor's corpse from Lionel's hands.
For several minutes, they had been attempting to extract usable parts from the raptor's body to simplify the absorption of its blood essence.
"There's nothing wrong with me not learning it," Lionel replied, dusting off his hands nonchalantly before sitting down with an exaggerated stretch. His legs sprawled out, arms resting lazily at his sides. "I just wanted to help. If I can't do it, you can just finish it yourself."
Evelyn let out a tired sigh, gripping the bloodstained dagger in her hand. "I didn't ask for your help in the first place, but if you don't pitch in, we'll be stuck here all night. Out of ten raptors, I've only managed to finish two."
