"So, do you have any idea who attacked the village? And how did you manage to get out of the village without dying?" Akit asked, staring at his brother.
"I was—" Adrian started.
But Lionel cut in, stepping beside him as he said, "We weren't at the village when it happened. We got there to see it massacred."
He wouldn't want Akit to have more reasons to suspect him since he already even thinks he's not human. He must say he has keen eyes and sharp senses.
But, Akit only managed to tilt his head as he listened to Lionel, his eyes settling back on his brother. "I didn't ask you, I asked my brother," he said, his gaze fixed on Adrian.
Lionel looked at Adrian, his mouth opening slightly, his eyes almost speaking a million unspoken words.
