I was in my Jujutsu High Uniform. What could be for comfort?
When I reached the big school, I stopped and grinned, taking in the massive structure. "Heh, now that's what I call impressive," I said with a chuckle. Walking through the gates, I noticed all sorts of quirks in action, from flashy flames to icy blasts. Just then, a boy with green hair tripped and nearly face-planted. But before he hit the ground, a girl dashed forward, tapping him lightly on the back, making him float.
"Gravity quirk, huh? Interesting," I mused, my trademark grin widening.
During the practical test, I found a seat, leaning back like I owned the place. The girl from before-the one with the gravity quirk-sat next to me. She smiled, and I casually nodded, throwing in a wink just for fun.
Then the lights dimmed, and Present Mic's voice boomed through the speakers. "What's up, UA candidates? Thanks for tunin' into me, your school DJ! C'mon, let me hear ya!" Silence. I stifled a laugh, resisting the urge to break the awkward tension.
"Keeping it mellow, huh?" Present Mic continued. "Alright, I'll skip to the main show!" More silence. "Are you ready? Yeah!" Silence again. At this point, I was holding back a snicker, thinking how fun it would be to mess with the silence, but nah-I'll let it play out.
After explaining the exam, a guy with blue hair and glasses raised his hand. "Excuse me, sir," he began, looking way too serious. He pointed out some mistake about the number of faux villains listed, going off on some rant about UA's adjusting and adjustingin my chair, half-listening, thinking, This guy really needs to lighten up. Bet he sleeps in athlete chair. Then he heeled over at the green-haired kid-Broccoli boy, as I decided to call him-who was muttering under his breath the entire time. The blue-haired guy called him out for it, too. Poor kid.
Finally, the gates to the mock battle arena opened, and chaos erupted past, quirks flashing everywhere. I stayed behind for a second, stretching casually like I had all the time in the world. No rush.
I grinned, popping my knuckles as I activated my quirk. The world around me slowed down-my Infinity flickered to life, a soft hum filling my ears. I stepped forward, the ground groundwater feeling like air. "Alright, let's have some fun," I whispered, a glint of mischief in my eyes.
I spotted a two-point faux villain nearby. With a flick of my fingers, I sent energy through the air, disintegrating the robot in an instant. "One down," I muttered, sounding almost bored. Too easy.
Next up, a three-pointer-a bit bulkier, but still not a challenge. I stepped toward it, hands in my pockets, and tilted my head. "Think you can touch me?" I captured as the robot swung its massive arm toward me. My Infinity blocked the attack effortlessly. "Nah, didn't think so." With a casual wave, I obliterated it in a single blow.
The other were running around, struggling with their robots, but I was too busy having fun to care. In the distance, I spotted a four-pointer towering over a group of students. They were panicking, running in every direction. I cracked my neck and smiled. "Now that looks like a party."
Raising a hand, I summoned a violet orb of cursed energy, just for flair. "Let's make this flashy," I said, launching the orb straight through the robot's chest. It exploded into pieces, metal flying everywhere. The students stared, wide-eyed, but I just winked at them.
"Another one bites the dust," I said, laughing softly. This is way too easy.
As I walked off, leaving the destruction behind, I thought, Maybe I should've let them have more fun... but then shrugged. "Nah, they'll be fine."
Pro Hero Present Mic announced that only two minutes remained before the exchange.
As I moved through the arena, easily dispatching faux villains, the sound of something crashing drew my attention. My eyes narrowed as I turned toward the noise-a massive zero-point robot. It wasn't a target we needed to destroy for points, but its appearance changed the game entirely.
Students began to scatter in eGaranton trying to avoid its crushing steps. Fear was palpable in the air, but I felt... nothing.
"It's just an obstacle," I reminded myself. "No points. Not worth my time and"
The gravity girl-the one I had noticed earlier-was pinned beneath the debris; her face twisted in fear. The massive zero-pointer loomed over her, its metal body casting a long shadow as it prepared to strike.
The green-haired boy from earlier rushed toward her, his expression captured with panic and determination. He knew he had no quirk of value, yet he was hell-bent on saving her.
For a moment, I simply watched; I took out my glasses, and my Six Eyes calc with every angle, every outcome. "He's going to fail," I thought, unfazed by the situation. But then, a shift occurred-not empathy, but an understanding that this moment could be a lesson.
Without hesitation, I extended my hand, activating Limitless. A barrier formed in front of the zero-pointer, halting its advance effortlessly. The energy rippled as the boy continued to charge forward, oblivious to the danger.
"Stay back," I called, my voice calm and commanding.
Just then, the boy punched the zero-pointer with all his might, sending it crumbling to the ground. But he broke his arms and legs in the process, collapsing in pain. I quickly teleported and caught him in a bridal style with a wide grin on my face.
His wide eyes met mine, full of shock. There was no need for thanks; the moment wasn't about gratitude.
"Get stronger. You have potential," I said, my expression blank as I released him from the whip.
The gravity girl scrambled out from the rubble, eyes shining with relief as she rushed to the boy's side. Recovery Girl soon approached, healing him with a quick kiss on the cheek, but I didn't linger to witness their reunion.
"Thank you!" they called out together.
"yeah yeah," I said, putting back my glasses and my tone cool and collected.
---
After the chaotic entrance exam, I returned to my apartment, feeling the thrill of the day coursing through me. I had no injuries, just a slight adrenaline high from all the action. The Recovery Girl had greeted me with a smile, impressed that I hadn't needed any of her magic. I barely even broke a sweat during the practical.
Collapsing onto my bed, I stared at the ceiling, a smirk playing on my lips. I hadn't just passed-I'd dominated.
A week went by, and the anticipation was almost unbearable. Every day felt like an eternity, but I kept myself busy. Training whenever I could, and at night, my part-time job at the convenience store. I earned about 50,000 Yen.
One evening, as the sun dipped behind the city skyline, the mailbox outside my apartment clanged. My heart skipped a beat. I knew what this was: the results.
I walked over, each step lighter than the last, and pulled out a thick envelope from UA. My fingers tingled; I opened it. A small metallic disc fell out, clattering onto the floor. I picked it up and placed it on my desk, watching as it whirred to life.
A hologram of All Might appeared before me, larger than life. His broad grin filled the room with an infectious energy.
"Young Akira Gojo!" His voice boomed, reverberating through my apartment. "I'm here with fantastic news! You did incredibly well in the entrance exam!"
I leaned back, a playful grin spreading across my face. Good news? Of course, I did well.
"During the practical exam, you scored a staggering didn't use for defeating the faux villains!" All Might continued, his eyes gleaming with pride. "And because of your heroic actions during the rescue of your fellow examinees, you earned an additional 25 points! That brings your total score to an outstanding 85 points!"
I raised an eyebrow, unfazed. Rescue points? Oh, I was just having fun. All Might grinned like as if he could read me. Your quick thinking in saving your fellow examinees didn't go unnoticed. You were like a true hero-selfless, yet undeniably fun!"
I stood there, a self-satisfied smirk on my face. I had passed, and I had crushed it.
"Welcome to UA High, Young Gojo . You've earned your place here. I believe in you, and I can see the great things you'll accomplish," he finished, his tone softening.
The hologram flickered out, leaving me standing in silence. For the first time in a long while, I felt a rush of triumph.
I glanced at the score sheet again:
---
UA Entrance Exam Results:
Villain Points: 60
Rescue Points: 25
Total: 85
---
I scanned the list of scores. My name stood out at the top. The green-haired boy, "Izuku Midoriya," had passed just barely with a total of 60 points. Uhh..Bakugo Katsuki? He was somstuff....anyways, he was placed below me followed by Todoroki Shoto.
"UA... It was easy," I said, a confident grin on my face.
I folded the letter, placed it neatly on my desk, and stepped out onto my apartment's small balcony. The cool night breeze brushed against my face, and I closed my eyes, feeling the world around me. This was only the beginning; the real fun was just starting.
The nerves from waiting for the exam results transformed into a low hum of excitement. I, too, stepped out of? Adjusting my uniform with a casual flair. It felt strange, grubbing my skin,g so formal, but I rolled my eyes. This wasn't the time to sweat the small stuff.
As I walked toward the massive gate. I felt a rush of exhilaration. UA High was bigger and grander in person. I had seen the campus during the entrance exam, but today felt different-more alive.
Students buzzed around, all walking in different directions, some already forming friendships. I strolled forward with an air of confidence, taking everything in.
My first stop was Class 1-A. The moment I slid open the door, the energy shifted. The room was packed with students, some already seated, while others were busy introducing themselves. I casually scanned the room, recognizing a few faces from the entrance exam.
"Get your feet off the desk this instant! Yougruellingying the reputation of this school!" a stern voice rang out, directed at Bakugo.
"Huh?! You're so uptight! What school are you from?" Bakugo shot back, crossing his arms defiantly.
"I'm from Sentsu Academy," the other boy replied, adjusting his glasses.
"Figures," Bakugo chuckled, then turned his gaze to me, a look of disdain on his face. "Who the hell are you, nerd?"
"Akira Gojo," I said coolly, unfazed adjustingmy glasses. "And I'm the strongest here." Of course, I said that. I knew he would blow up after listening to that.
A few heads turned, and I could sense the murmers through the room. Some students exchanged glances, clearly surprised by my bold claim.
"Strongest? In this class? You think you can just stroll, in here and say that?" Bakugo challenged, his eyes narrowing.
I raised an eyebrow, a smirk forming on my lips. "Well, I just did, didn't I? What are you going to do about it?"
The atmosphere shifted as Bakugo's rage simmered. Before he could respond, a girl with gravity powers piped up. "You might want to be careful, Akira. He's known for blowing things up."
"Yeah? I've dealt with worse," I replied casually, my confidence unwavering.
"Just don't get too cocky," she warned, her tone serious. "We're all here to become heroes, after all."
I chuckled lightly. "I'll make sure to save some humility for later. For now, I'm just here to enjoy the ride."
I took my seat between the two-toned hair boy-who I'd later learn was named Shoto Todoroki-and the gravity girl, whose name was Uraraka Ochako.
"Nice to meet you both," I said, leaning back in my chair, a relaxed smile plastered on my face.
Uraraka looked at me, her expression a mix of curiosity and caution. "He could be difficult to handle"
"Handle? That's cute," I replied, my tone teasing. "I'm more interested in seeing how much he can handle me."
Todoroki glanced over at me, his expression as calm and stoic as ever. "You don't seem intimidated."
I shrugged. "Why should I be? I'm here to have fun and push limits. If he wants to play hero, he better be ready for some competition."
Just then, Bakugo stormed over, his face set in a scowl. "What are you laughing about, you quirks freak?"
"Just contemplating how you're going to explode yourself into oblivion if you keep being this angry," I retorted, crossing my arms. I could see the tension rise as the other students watched our exchange with rapt attention.
"Stop acting tough, you wannabe! You think you're some hotshot, sunglasses?" he growled, sparks flying from his palms.
(A/N: Can't think of any better name😅😅.)
I leaned forward, smirking. "Do you want to test that theory? Because I'd hate to embarrass you in front of the whole class."
The class was eerily quiet, anticipation hanging in the air. Uraraka looked between us nervously, while Todoroki remained impassive, a slight glimmer of amusement in his eyes.
"Whatever. You'll see," Bakugo spat before turning on his heel and storming back to his corner of the room, clearly frustrated.
"Good start," I said, leaning back again. "At least I made an impression."
Uraraka shook her head, half-laughing. "You really know how to rile him up. Are you always this bold?"
"Only when the situation calls for it," I replied, grinning. "Besides, I find it fun. Life's too short to be serious all the time."
I turned to see a tall man with scruffy, long black hair standing in the doorway, wrapped in a capture weapon. His tired eyes scanned the class as he stepped inside.
He began to speak tiredly, stating, "If you're here to make friends, go somewhere else. This is the hero course." This got the attention of anyone who wasn't paying attention yet.
"It took you 8 seconds to quiet down. You're wasting time-you kids aren't rational enough," he sighed. "I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa." At this, everyone seemed surprised how some homeless man could be our homeroom teacher, but I remained curious.
"This is kind of sudden, but put these on and go out to the field," he stated boredly, taking out what appeared to be gym uniforms.
This school thing is weird, I thought, as I took a uniform and headed out of the classroom. The other girls kept chatting with me, their excitement palpable as they tried to get to know me better. I couldn't help but smile a little; maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
As we all made our way to the changing rooms, I could feel the stares of some students on my back. It wasn't anything new. I was used to being the odd one out, someone people didn't quite know how to approach. I was different, but that didn't matter here. UA was a place to learn and grow as a hero. That's all I cared about.
We changed into our gym uniforms and headed out to the field, where Aizawa-sensei was waiting for us. The wind blew lightly, ruffling the trees as we gathered in front of him.
"Alright," Aizawa-sensei said, his eyes scanning the group, "today we'll be doing a Quirk apprehension test."
Time to show off!
The entire class froze, murmurs of confusion spreading. I could hear the other students talking behind me.
"Wait, a test already?" someone whispered.
"Isn't there supposed to be an orientation or something?" another added.
Aizawa-sensei sighed, clearly annoyed. "There's no time for that. We're here to see how capable you are as future heroes. You've been using your Quirks your entire life, right? Well, today, I want to see what you can do."
"Bakugo, you came second in the entrance exam. What was your best ball throw in junior high?"
"67 meters," the boy with spiky blond hair stated confidently.
"Now, do it with your Quirk. You're allowed to do whatever you want as long as you stay in the circle."
Bakugo marched up to the circle, grinning. He grabbed the ball, swung his arm back, and threw it with an explosion from his hand.
"Die!"
With a loud explosion, he hurled the ball into the sky. The class watched in awe as it disappeared into the distance. Aizawa-sensei held up a device showing the number: 705.2 meters.
"Woah," I heard Uraraka gasp beside me. "That's incredible!"
"That was expected..I guess" I smirked.
"Wow, this looks so fun!" someone shouted. Yeah, it is.
"It looks fun, huh?" Aizawa said, his voice sharp. "Uh oh" I muttered, hearing the shift in his tone. Great, I thought. Now he's going to make this harder.
"You have three years to become a hero. Will that be your attitude throughout your time here? Well, whoever comes last after all eight tests will be judged as having no potential and will be expelled." He finished with a threatening smile.
The class erupted in surprise and worry. I stayed quiet, preparing myself for the tests. I was confident in my abilities, even if I was a little rusty.
"Last place will be expelled? But it's only the first day! That's not fair!" Uraraka said, clearly concerned.
"Are natural disasters fair? Are selfish villains taking lives fair?" Aizawa-sensei responded. "This world is full of unfairness.".
Snapping out of my thoughts, I heard Aizawa continue, "Heroes are the ones who prevent and reverse these situations. These next three years at UA will give you hardship after hardship. Go beyond. Plus Ultra." He finished with a smirk, turning to set up the first test.
I like this guy. I remember my days of being a teacher.
Test 1: 50-Meter Dash
I stood at the starting line, my heart pounding. Jiro and Ojiro flanked me, both looking focused. Aizawa-sensei raised his hand.
I was going to hold back no matter what.
"Ready... Go!"
We shot forward, each of us using what we could to maximize speed. Ojiro's tail propelled him swiftly, while Jiro tapped into her agility. I decided not to use my cursed energy or.....quirk...whatever. Despite this, I crossed the finish line first at 1.30 seconds, closely followed by Ojiro and Jiro.
Test 2: Grip Strength
Next was the grip strength test. Kirishima went first, his Quirk hardening his muscles to achieve a jaw-dropping 540 kilograms. The class reacted in awe, but I stayed focused on my turn.
When I grabbed the device. I didn't use my quirk this time, too, and tried not to destroy the machine. The numbers climbed until they hit 600 kilograms. I can do more, but let's leave it at that. The class gasped, and I couldn't help but smirk. I was first again.
Test 3: Standing Long Jump
Standing before the jump marker, I took a deep breath. I bent low and pushed off with all the force I could, landing just past the furthest mark. I grinned at my result, which placed me first once more.
Test 4: Repeated Side Steps
This test measured agility and quick lateral movement. Perfect for thosee with fast reflexes or speed-based Quirks. I still didn'tused my quirk. I finished with the best time, earning more impressed murmurs from my classmates.
Test 5: Ball Throw
Finally the ball test. I will use my quirk I guess.
Next, it was Midoriya's turn. He threw the ball, but it landed barely 40 meters away. Confused, he exclaimed, "I used my Quirk!"
I noticed Aizawa standing off to the side, his hair on end and his scarf moving, eyes glowing red. "I erased your Quirk," Aizawa said. "Someone like you shouldn't have been able to enroll here."
Midoriya's protests fell on deaf ears as Aizawa sternly remarked about the dangers of relying on a power that could cripple him. He then returned Midoriya's Quirk, telling him to take his final throw. This time, Midoriya's ball flew near Bakugo's distance, though his finger broke in the process
Bakugo lunged at Midoriya, but Aizawa restrained him with his scarf. "Stand down," he said, "and stop making me use my Quirk so much-it gives me serious dry eye."
I stepped forward with a relaxed grin. "Hey, Midoriya, don't sweat it too much! It's all part of the learpractising, right? You'll get the hang of it." My tone was light, encouraging, and playful.
Then, it was my turn. I approached the circle, confident yet casual. "Now, let's show everyone how it's done, shall we?" I focused my Limitless Quirk, letting it surge through me, my eyes shimmering with the familiar glow of the Six Eyes.
With a smooth flick of my wrist, I hurled the ball into the air. It soared effortlessly, disappearing from view. Aizawa's device beeped, and the screen displayed a staggering error.
I turned to the class, my smile widening. "And that's how it's done, folks! Just remember: it's not just about power, it's about finesse. Keep practicing, and soon enough, you'll be up there with the best!"
I saw Aizawa looking at me. Ohh yeah. I acted like a teacher didn't I.
"I am sorry sensei. I stepped in without your permission. My body moved on it's own I guess." I said rubbing my neck.
"I will let it slip once." He said.
What could have been done. I just remembered Yuji and my body acted on my own. Huhhhh.
Test 6: Seated Toe Touch
Test 7: Pull-ups
Test 8: Endurance Run
All test ended and I came first.
"Okay, now that that's over, here are the results," Aizawa-sensei said, displaying the rankings on a screen. I scanned for my name-1st place in every test. I smirked, satisfied. Midoriya, on the other hand, landed in last. I felt a flicker of sympathy for him, but Aizawa wasn't done.
"I am pretty sure that Midoriya will be sent home according to his performance....but his quirk can be really useful if he practice so the chances of him being expelled is very less. So at the end Aizawa sensei would say that he was just lying" I thought to myself foldimg my arms and smirking adjusting my glasses.
My attention was brought back to Aizawa sensei as he began to speak again. "Oh and about the expulsion I was lying." Everyone looks shocked at this, I frown confused is he really not going to expel anyone?
"It was a rational deception to get you all to try your best" Aizawa continued ignoring our shock.
"Of course it was a lie, I thought it was obvious so I didn't say anything" Yaoyorozu said standing with a hand on her hip.
I frown at her words, but he wasn't lying. My theory was correct.
As I'm thinking about this the rest of the class turns to Yaoyorozu in shock and starts complaining about how she didn't tell them.
I wanted to correct her but I decide not to.
