"Alright, looks like we've got enough information," Lucas said quickly, trying to sound brave. "Let's get out before we get caught."
Quickly, they returned to the bookshelves that now blocked off the secret passage. After reorganising everything, they took a small run out of the library, their nervous laughter filling the night air.
When they arrived outside, they laughed loudly, releasing all the tension that had been building up.
Maya looked at them with a relieved smile. "Okay, this is crazy. But I'll never forget this night for the rest of my life."
Raven smiled, feeling such a strong sense of togetherness between them. With these friends of hers, even the most mysterious and terrifying journeys seemed easier to traverse.
"If we can face all this, we can definitely conquer Professor Lorry too, right?" Ben said with a laugh.
They all laughed in agreement, promising to return to class with the most complete report and ready to face all questions from Professor Lorry.
That night, full of laughter, they left the library, carrying memories that they would continue to remember as part of their adventure together.
After that night's adventure in the library, Raven, Meredith, Ben, Lucas, and Maya's relationship grew even closer.
From then on, the five of them were almost always seen together.
College becomes more exciting, especially when they spend time outside of class hours, either studying or just relaxing around campus.
One sunny afternoon, they were sitting in the backyard under the shade of a large oak tree.
Lucas, known as the prankster, pulled out a small bag full of colourful powders.
"Hey, look at this," Lucas said, holding up the bag. "This magic powder will make our day more colourful."
Meredith looked at him suspiciously, while Raven chuckled. "What's that? Don't tell me you brought anything weird again."
Lucas winked with a mischievous smile. "Relax, it's just a safe colouring powder. We sprinkle it around the campus fountain, and everyone will be confused because the water will become colourful. Imagine Professor Lorry's reaction!"
Ben laughed and clapped his hands. "I love this idea! Come on, when else can we see a colourful campus?"
Raven and Maya looked at each other, trying to hold back their laughter. The five of them rushed to the fountain in the centre of campus.
Lucas deftly sprinkled some colourful powder into the water, and within seconds, the clear water turned into a mix of red, green, blue and yellow.
Passing students stopped and gaped, confused by the suddenly cheerful sight of the fountain.
"This is so crazy!" Maya exclaimed with a laugh, pulling Raven to take a picture in front of the fountain.
While they were busy taking pictures, a campus officer appeared with a puzzled face. "Who made this?" he asked in a serious tone.
Lucas calmly slipped the bag of powder into his bag and whispered to the others, "Time to run!"
Without needing to be warned twice, they all laughed as they fled towards the dormitory.
Along the way, they couldn't stop laughing, especially when remembering the shocked faces of the campus officers.
Later that evening, they gathered at Raven and Meredith's room in the dormitory to celebrate their "mission success".
Maya brought some soft drinks and a big bag of popcorn, while Ben brought a small speaker to play music. The room was filled with laughter and excited chatter about the day's events.
"It was really fun," Meredith said as she threw the popcorn at Lucas who immediately caught it with his mouth. "When else can we do something silly without getting caught?"
Raven grinned. "Do you want to try something even crazier?"
Ben immediately raised his hand. "I'm ready! Just don't get us kicked off campus."
Maya laughed, leaning her head against Meredith's shoulder. "I never felt this alive during college. It's like we're a little family with a lot of secrets."
The night progressed with laughter-filled conversation. They shared stories, from their childhood to their dreams for the future.
Each story brought them closer, and they realised how lucky they were to have found friends they could trust and rely on.
Shortly after the little party in Raven's room, they faced another challenge from Professor Lorry.
With the deadline looming, the five of them often stayed overnight at the library to complete the report on the ancient symbols that remained a mystery.
"This is the last one!" exclaimed Lucas with a big yawn. "When we're done, we should have a big celebration party."
Raven laughed as she typed rapidly on her laptop. "I agree! We deserve a party after all this hard work."
When their report was finally finished, they felt relieved. The next day, they went to class with confidence, carrying over a hundred pages of report.
Professor Lorry read their reports carefully, frowning occasionally. After a few minutes that felt like hours to them, Professor Lorry nodded slowly.
"You've done a marvellous job," he said in a serious tone that made them hold their breath. "This report shows your dedication and hard work. I hope you can continue to maintain this quality in your studies."
As soon as they left Professor Lorry's room, the five of them burst into cheers of joy. Ben jumped up and down, and Maya hugged Raven tightly. "We did it!"
"Now, it's party time!" shouted Lucas in a loud voice.
That day, they planned a small party in the campus park. They set up small lights on the tree, brought blankets to sit on, and brought snacks. A few other friends joined them, and the evening was filled with laughter and stories.
Meredith looked at her friends with a relieved smile. "If it wasn't for you guys, I don't know if I'd be able to face this semester this well."
Raven nodded in agreement. "I feel the same way. You guys are like family to me."
The night ended with them lying on the grass, stargazing, and telling each other about their dreams. They felt ready for anything, as long as they stayed together.
Their college life was filled with laughter, pranks, and sweet memories that will never be forgotten.
With a strong bond of friendship, Raven, Meredith, Ben, Lucas, and Maya feel like they can conquer the world-together.
