Chapter 1 - Boom bang, pots and pans

A wide expanse of snow glistened under the sun, blindingly bright to any who saw it from above. But it didn't seem to be a problem to the creature, who was flying around in the sky, as it stared straight at the mountainside blanketed in a thick snow layer. Silent, is the mountain, perhaps too silent to even consider a living being is actually on this planet.

Then what is this winged beast doing in such a place like this, what is she looking for? The answer, surely is in the mountain if it interests a foreign creature to specifically fly over here.

Seeing from the eyes of it, one would see a golden-orange color enveloping the entire mountain. It was the immense spiritual power of the dragon, that compelled the flying beast to come closer to discover its source.

The winged creature dived straight down into the mountaintop like a rocket, destroying everything in its path. After striking down for a while, the creature landed in a cave, filled with dust and white silk that was surrounded with the same golden hue, but with more intensity.

After a wonderful landing the beast had made, it started to explore its surroundings, finally moving its gaze to a sleeping dragon, its body wrapped in silk, completely immobilized. It didn't take that long for the creature to realize that the immense spiritual power it was looking for was the silk wrap the dragon was trapped in. Knowing the dragon was asleep, the creature thought;

"Oh, maybe it wouldn't notice. Even if it did, I'm practically doing it a favor."

While contemplating which silk to cut first, the beast didn't realize the sleeping dragon was slowly waking up, taking in her surroundings, she saw this scaly beast about to swing its claw at her. The time they both dropped their gazes to each other, the dragon gave it a questioning look to ask what it was doing. After some awkward silence, the winged beast spoke;

-"Are you uh..are you gonna use that silk?"

-"And who would you be?? What are you doing here?"

-"Hey…you don't need to get so worked up about this, I was just asking."

-"…"

Audacious.

-"So, what's your name, mysterious dragon?"

-"Well, you're in my cave, shouldn't I ask you first?"

-"But I asked first!"

-"And you just barged in here! It's only fair for me to ask first."

Hairong huffs in defeat, the dragon was right. It felt rude to just barge into someone's home and demand their name.

-"I suppose you're right on that one…my name's Hairong. Now, will you introduce yourself?"

At that moment, the dragon froze. The latter couldn't remember who she was, let alone her name. It took some while to regain her thoughts to finally answer the smaller beast.

-"I think…my name is Tsung Yue."

-"Hold on..you think? Did you just make that name up?"

-"What? No. I was just trying to remember my name."

-"Hm…I guess that means you've been here for a long time. So long that you can't even remember your own name."

-"Hey, I just remembered my name!"

-"Well, aren't you a talented bunch…"

Hairong could see how conflicted the dragon was, so she decided not to pry further and stand right on business.

-"So, as I was saying…I am here because that silk of yours harbors immense spiritual energy. I need to consume it to get stronger. So, may I please have them?"

Snapped from her thoughts, the dragon quietly mulled over how to choose the upcoming decision. She still had a limited amount of information about the beast, so it was understandable of her to act vary. After contemplating what to say, she answered;

-"Well, you seem to know a lot about this spiritual energy from the silk…so, how about this? I give you my silk if you teach me what spiritual energy is, and what I can do with it. The silk is connected to me after all."

-"Seriously? You don't know what spiritual energy is? What kind of dragon are you?"

-"Don't judge me like that, I may not know anything about this topic, but I can assure you, if I get to remember well in the future, I can even teach you some things one day."

-"Fine then. As long as I get these silks, it doesn't matter much to me."

Hairong effortlessly slices and cuts off the silk that once trapped the dragon, freeing her in the process. But who knew that the creature would actually eat the silk, leaving the dragon baffled, but she regained her composure once more. Clearing her throat to regain Hairong's attention, Tsung Yue told her;

-"Well, now that you've got what you wanted, it's time for you to teach me."

-"What's there to teac-"

-"Teach me."

-"But-"

-"Did I stutter?"

visible expression of confusion.

-"I'll give you an example. How does this spiritual energy you speak work anyway?"

-"Well. It's an energy that all spiritual lifeforms possess. I cultivate on it to get stronger, exactly how I just ate the silk."

-"Will you eat me then?"

This question would determine many things that could happen to Tsung Yue in the future, so being a bit cautious never hurts anyone, you know.

-"I don't see any reason to."

-"I see..so if I can make this, does that mean I'm a spirit?"

-"If you can create a spiritual aura, you're a spiritual beast. And, since you're a dragon, you constantly have a spiritual aura around you."

-"You're confusing me…"

-"You asked for this, you don't get to be confused! As I was saying, you're a spiritual beast, you have to have that natural feeling to acknowledge your existence. If not, then what you need is full guidance."

-"And who'd guide me?"

-"Perchance I will. Mostly because I need the energy."

-"Do I look like I just throw up silk whenever I want to? I don't even know how it was created in the first place!"

-"Then we will figure it out! You're like a blooming flower, and I'll help you grow your pretty little petals step by step. So firstly, let us get out of here and get to know each other more."

-"Just don't call me a flower again…"

And thus, the chronicles of the two dragons have begun. Their chaotic yet connective relationship's roots are planted, and their awe-inspiring adventures await them.
