Elgar slowly made his way to the rest area. It comforted him to see Rumi and Elise sleeping peacefully. He leaned his head against the wall and closed his eyes, though his mind remained alert, ready to wake at the slightest sound.
"You should get some proper sleep now," said Elise, suddenly entering the room.
Elgar jumped as he was dozing off. "I thought you were asleep," he said.
"I can't sleep, but you look different. You've been awake for almost two days, you need to rest. Otherwise, you'll put us in danger," said Elise.
Elgar sighed and slowly nodded his head. As soon as he closed his eyes, he fell asleep.
The next day, the caravan had regrouped, with the number of soldiers reduced by half. "Everyone stay alert, I don't think the twilight has given up on this matter."
