Prince Vulwin and Sergeant Eren exchanged salutes before getting into their ready positions with their swords. Sergeant Eren made the first move, testing the prince's defense with a quick attack. Prince Vulwin deflected the attack with an elegant sword movement.
"You're gripping the sword too tightly," said Prince Vulwin, while making a sudden move that threw Sergeant Eren off balance. "It's restricting your wrist movements."
Sergeant Eren regained his composure and attempted another attack, but Prince Vulwin forced him to continually step backward with a series of successive moves. With each attack, he pointed out the flaws in the sergeant's technique.
"Your feet are too wide apart... Your shoulders are too tense... You're watching my sword instead of my eyes..."
