Midra had been walking for hours, dragging number five and carrying Naru on her back. The sun had already set, and darkness was falling.
"This child still hasn't woken up," said number five. "Did I hit him too hard?"
"Be quiet," Midra said harshly.
"How much longer are we going to walk? At this pace, it'll take days to reach the village," number five complained. "And this path isn't safe at all."
The ground gradually became soft and muddy. Strange sounds were coming from around them.
"This area is dangerous," said number five. "Energy monsters have made this place their home."
"Swamp tarantulas?" asked Midra. "I knew they were here, but I didn't think we'd get this close."
