Number Six entered Number Four's laboratory to see Yasue.
"Hey, I didn't tell you to come in," Number Four snapped. Yasue was lying unconscious on a table, half-naked.
"What are you doing to him?" asked Number Six. Number Four laughed and lifted Yasue's half arm. "A new arm," he said.
Number Six approached and poked Yasue's face. "Why isn't he waking up?" she asked.
"He must have accepted that he died from losing too much blood, that's why he's not regaining consciousness," said Number Four, while taking pieces from his severed arm with the knife.
"So you mean he could wake up but he thinks he's dead?" asked Number Six in astonishment. The idea of someone not waking up because they thought they were dead seemed illogical to her.
