Chapter 35 - 35. Don't Get Me Wrong

Yagami informed Osamu and Taichi of the situation in advance to avoid misunderstandings. As for bringing them along, Yagami said that he had no such intention.

Although his body is still small, he has the heart of an adult! With a beautiful woman by his side, why would he want two light bulbs tagging along?

One thing to note: Terumi Mei's thighs wrapped in black fishnets are truly eye-catching!

Terumi Mei's attention was constantly on Yagami, so she could feel his gaze and felt a bit embarrassed. Are all kids these days so precocious?

"Sorry, Mist Shinobi used to be beautiful, but now..."

Terumi Mei also wanted to take Yagami to visit Mist Shinobi to show her sincerity, but with Kirigakure's current situation, even she felt embarrassed to witness it herself.

"I understand. It's wishful thinking to expect someone who doesn't care about the village to build it up properly. But you don't plan to keep me walking this way forever, do you? I just went through a fierce battle."

Beautiful women should be admired, but the information that needed to be collected could not be ignored. It seemed that Obito had tortured Mist Shinobi quite badly. Along the way, Yagami saw many abandoned buildings.

He guessed that shinobi used to live in these places, but under the influence of the Blood Mist policy, Mist Shinobi fought amongst themselves constantly, and many shinobi lost their lives.

Even Mist Shinobi, one of the Five Great Hidden Villages, was seriously damaged by such depletion. On the surface, it seemed there were more powerful shinobi, but the actual strength of Kirigakure had weakened.

The survivors were all elites, but the village's population base had declined. Once a war breaks out, Mist Shinobi will suffer in terms of numbers.

After all, before the emergence of Six Paths-level combat power, wars were still driven by middle- and low-level shinobi. Although so-called cannon fodder was weak, without it, there was no way to wage a war.

"Then shall we find a place to rest first?"

Terumi Mei paused for a moment, recalling the battle between Yagami and the Three Tails. She couldn't help but feel a wave of admiration, and she also showed a strange expression when she looked at him.

She thought he would make a good man—not bad in appearance and strong in strength. He seemed to understand her without even trying, and she felt she could trust him unreservedly, but he was a little young...

One thing to say, the Uchiha bloodline is still quite impressive; at least in terms of appearance, it's of absolutely high quality.

Compared to the men in the Land of Water, who either had fangs or no eyebrows, it was a world of difference.

"Well! Didn't you say we'd find a place to rest? Why are you looking at me like that? The old cow eating tender grass!"

Good grief, I'm tempted by her, but I didn't expect her to be tempted by me!

Thinking of Terumi Mei's character from the original story, Yagami's heart suddenly trembled. The woman in front of him might really be an "old cow eating tender grass!"

The key issue is that his current body hasn't yet developed the "tools," but it's not impossible!

"What are you thinking? It's not like I'm interested in a little kid. Maybe in a few years..."

Terumi Mei blushed. She thought about it privately, but being called out on it was another thing.

"Hmph! I feel like you're looking down on me! What's wrong with being young? I'm still a man, even when I'm young!"

Yagami immediately responded forcefully, for the dignity of a man!

"Haha! I know you're a man! Just a little man. It's useless if you don't believe it. Are you going to be stubborn about it?"

Well! When fighting, they are so intense it's hard to look away, but sometimes they're quite cute!

Looking at the furious Yagami, Terumi Mei couldn't help but laugh. Isn't Uchiha naturally proud? This doesn't look like it!

Damn! She did it on purpose! How dare she imply I'm not tough! Believe it or not, I can be as strong as a small horse-drawn cart!

"Aren't you afraid that I'll attack Mist Shinobi with the way you're talking to me?"

Yagami said with a dark look. "Although Mist Shinobi has a lot of elite shinobi now, it really lacks high-end combat power."

"Alright, let's not talk about it anymore. The service industry in the village has been severely damaged, so I can only ask you to make do for now."

Terumi Mei's face remained unchanged, but she didn't continue to dwell on the topic. As the future Mizukage, although she didn't know exactly what Yagami intended to do, from the kindness implied in his words, she could tell that he still needed Mist Shinobi.

As long as this need existed, he wouldn't do anything harmful to Mist Shinobi—so long as Mist Shinobi didn't provoke trouble.

"If the service isn't good enough, then you can serve me yourself!"

The corner of Yagami's mouth twitched. She changed the subject rather quickly, but he wouldn't let it slide so easily. He grabbed Terumi Mei's soft, fair hand, giving her a provocative look.

Mizukage, huh! I wonder if there's as much "water" in the Mizukage as her title suggests.

Terumi Mei suddenly felt a bad premonition. Though this was her own village, at that moment, it was Yagami who was pulling her along as if he had a plan in mind.

When they arrived at the entrance of a bathhouse, she had only one thought—she might have overplayed this time...

---

The next morning, Uchiha Osamu and Uchiha Nokura were waiting outside Yagami's resting quarters. The moment they saw him, they didn't hold back their scolding.

"Yagami, are you okay? You were too reckless yesterday. If you're planning something, at least let us know!"

In terms of age, they could be considered Yagami's elders. Although Yagami held a special status in the clan and was quite powerful, he was still just a child.

Moreover, given the current state of the clan, Yagami's presence was more significant than even the clan head, Fugaku.

"Plans can't always keep up with changes."

Yagami smiled, knowing he hadn't brought them along to fight. The Uchiha clan had considerable fighting power, but without Mangekyō, they couldn't handle the scale of last night's conflict.

"Be careful next time. Though you're strong, you'll eventually get exhausted. This is Kirigakure!" Leimen added in a serious tone, though he was more astonished than anything. Facing the Fourth Mizukage and Three Tails, Yagami had managed to win with an overwhelming display of power—a truly impressive feat!

As this admiration grew, the two noticed the door behind Yagami opening. Terumi Mei, wearing an expression of barely contained fury, squeezed past them without a word and walked off without looking back.

"What would you like for breakfast? I'll prepare it for you!"

Although it was phrased as a question, Terumi Mei clearly didn't give Yagami or the others a chance to respond. Before anyone could answer, she was already gone.

Internally, she was fuming. Uchiha Yagami, this damned brat, had such a vengeful nature. He was difficult enough at this young age—what would he be like in the future?

While thinking this, Terumi Mei's face flushed slightly. The part that frustrated her most was that she didn't entirely dislike his behaviour; in fact, she was strangely drawn to the way he pressured her using the village, though it made her feel somewhat ashamed of her own age...

No, no, no! She did it for the sake of the village—after all, he's just a kid, what's so impressive about that!

---

Osamu and Taichi stared at Yagami in astonishment, the meaning in their eyes obvious: So, this is the real Yagami!

"Don't misunderstand; I just asked her to take a bath with me, warm up the bed, and we slept together, that's all…"

Taichi said with a straight face. Indeed, the Land of Water lived up to its name. The Mizukage was indeed worthy of being the Mizukage—very much "full of water," quite moist...

"It's fine! That kunoichi was strong and looked good. Although she's a bit older, she's not an old woman in her seventies or eighties. For the great revival of the Uchiha clan, Yagami, you'll have to put in the effort!"

Osamu joked, though he was still thinking of Terumi Mei's expression when she left—it seemed things got intense last night!

But Yagami was still just a child! Are the young ones today really so capable?

If Yagami knew what Osamu was thinking, he would have given him a disdainful smile.

Ha! I wield the power of Mangekyō to win over a woman. If I couldn't succeed, you'd think it's common fare!

Although there were certain developmental limitations with his current body, the yang energy wasn't just for show. The future Mizukage wasn't a problem at all...

---

After breakfast, Terumi Mei led everyone to the newly renovated Mizukage building, where Mist Shinobi's top officials, led by Master Yuan, were waiting.

Obito hadn't held back in his attacks on Mist Shinobi.

After all, he held them responsible for Rin Nohara's death.

Other than Master Genji, Terumi Mei, and the pufferfish-like Hozuki, Yagami didn't recognize the other high-ranking officials present. They were likely heads of some of the few remaining great ninja clans in Kirigakure.

Standing behind them were familiar faces, such as Hoshigaki Kisame, who would be wielding Samehada in a few years if things went unchanged.

"Everyone, don't be nervous. I don't have any intentions against Mist Shinobi. This time, I invited you here primarily for two matters."

Looking at the tense Mist Shinobi officials, Yagami couldn't help feeling somewhat amused, but he refrained from saying more.

"Mr. Yagami, please state your request directly, and we will do our utmost to meet your needs," Master Genji responded calmly, not relaxing despite Yagami's reassurances.

"First, the situation between Uchiha and Konoha is no longer a secret. I hope that Mist Shinobi, as one of the Five Great Hidden Villages, will issue a clear announcement together with the Land of Water to support the Uchiha clan. This shouldn't be difficult, right?"

Although he had mainly come for the 25-year-old Obito, he decided to address other business while he was here.

With the support of the other Great Hidden Villages, the Uchiha clan's departure from Konoha would be recognized and backed by the wider shinobi world. It would dispel any lingering hopes that Konoha—or anyone else—might try to hold onto this.

Master Genji and the Mist Shinobi officials exchanged glances before looking at Yagami in confusion.

Such a simple request? This wasn't merely not difficult—it was as easy as paying lip service!
