After going through the catalogue for a few minutes, Lynn finally found the one she liked, but she had to look at Alex for approval... He nodded, and a slight smile appeared on her face when she pointed towards a simple yet beautiful and elegant diamond ring... As soon as she saw the ring, she was immediately drawn to it and knew it was the one... But she was trying her best not to get excited because she knew the ring was also part of the facade... "Oh! What a lovely choice, " Mr. Willow said and clapped his hands together excitedly... "I will get started on it soonest... I just need a few days, " He added, and Alex nodded...
Alex stood up, ready to leave, and Lynn stood up also, wondering if that was all for the day... she was a bit exhausted after that short encounter with Mrs Adams and wanted to lie down... Mr Willow followed them out to the entrance of his shop and wished them the best but not after asking Alex to send him a wedding invitation... A lingering smile was on her face as they walked to the car, and she thought about how pleasant he was...
"The first part is done...now we have one more thing to do, then we can call it a day," Alex said when they got to the car... Nathan opened the door for them, and Lynn wondered what else they had to do... she didn't ask any questions this time but instead entered the car silently...
Her mind is travelling to Rachel and work... she had asked for an extra day's leave but had to return the work the next day... The only problem was Alex, who had asked her to quit... she glanced at him but couldn't say anything but sighed... he had told her they would talk about it later, so she decided to wait till they returned to the house...
"Where to sir?" Nathan asked, and Alex looked up at him... "Gina's place," He replied... Nathan started the car engine and drove to where Alex had told him... while Lynn wondered who this gina was...
It took about an hour before they finally arrived at a beautiful shop with a glaring sign, "GINA'S PLACE" on the outside... it was a boutique... was he going to buy her someone clothes, she could have done that herself... wait she couldn't afford anything in such a place...
"Let's go" Alex said and Lynn nodded, her eyes observing the whole area as they walked towards the shop... This wasn't the part of town she was used to... it was like walking into a completely different world...
Lynn's jaw almost dropped as they walked into the beautiful boutique that had a collection of beautiful dresses from high-designer brands... shoes... bags... Everything in here screamed luxury and she couldn't even guess the price because she knew they were expensive... She couldn't help but gape around in awe as her eyes scanned the place... Surprisingly the shop didn't have any customers, which made Lynn wonder why... Did they not have a good reputation? But then why would Alex bring her here if they didn't have a good reputation...
"Welcome sir..." A beautiful lady with the name tag 'Clara' said to Alex and he nodded towards her in acknowledgement... the lady's eyes travelled from Alex to Lynn who was standing close to him and staring at everything with awe... Clara seemed curious to know who this lady was, But she knew she had no right to ask and only had to do her job so she wouldn't get scolded by her boss...
"This way," She said and Lynn finally turned to look at her, she followed after Alex and the lady who led them to a different section of the shop, where another showcase of dresses, shoes and bags where... Alex sat on the couch and Lynn did so also...
"What would you like today sir... we have picked out many beautiful dresses in advance like you wanted" Clara started, her eyes travelling back and forth between Alex and Lynn, the nervous-looking girl beside him.. Who exactly was she that he had to call in advance for an appointment... From her clothes alone which looked cheap, Clara could tell she wasn't affluent like the people she met daily due to her work... She wasn't a familiar face either and what made her even more curious was the fact that Alex Hult was here in a ladies' boutique trying to buy so many expensive dresses for this lady...
There was no news about him dating anyone, so she doubted they were a couple... they didn't seem close in any way from the way they were seated... The lady seemed a bit uncomfortable... she observed, while a pleasant smile remained on her face...
"I want all of the dresses, from there to there," Alex said and gestured towards a collection of dresses that were well over thirty, causing both Lynn and Clara's eyes to grow wide...
Lynn immediately turned to look at Alex in disbelief, her eyes wide in shock...
"What are you doing" She said to Alex in a low voice...
Clara had immediately gestured for assistance because of the big sale she was about to make... she was getting a bonus...
"you don't even know if they will fit me... aren't they expensive, I'm okay with just a few dresses" Lynn added in a low voice and started to get super nervous because of the turn things were taking...
Alex folded his arms across his chest and turned to look at her... his green eyes staring Deep into hers and causing Lynn to break eye contact with him... she swallowed when her cheeks became a little flushed...
" you don't have to worry about that and also You will need them, you can't be seen... like this when you are with me," Alex said, his eyes scanning Lynn from head to toe...
Lynn immediately became self-aware... Her clothes were old and cheap because that was what she could do with the little money she had left after paying a little out of debt each month... it wasn't that she loved, she had no choice... He was right...
She felt ashamed about it but said nothing more because she knew it was true... She decided not to say anything anymore... It was his money and if he wanted to spend it on her then he could do whatever he wanted...
Alex's eyes travelled back to Clara and the two Ladies who were taking down all the dresses Alex had pointed to so they could pack them up...
"I want everything from that shelve to that shelf also" He gestured towards where the shoes and bags in the store were and Lynn gasped... Even though she had decided not to say a word anymore she couldn't help but react...
He was crazy, She couldn't finish wearing those in a year
