Chereads / The Sun Princess / Chapter 28 - Chapter Twenty Seven

Chapter 28 - Chapter Twenty Seven

Elena wishes there's a way to control her dreams because the dream she had last night was brutal, she doesn't even want to think of it. All she knows is that she should not be having such tormenting dreams. She tried to forget about it the minute she woke up.

When she got all dressed up and walked out of her room she thought vampires would jump out of nowhere and attack her again but they didn't and she walked to the dining hall with Fran by her side.

Since the day started she has tried to forget about the dreams where creatures of darkness are holding her captive and want to do things to her, she has tried to think of other good things but to no avail. The math teacher, Mr Sapper yells at her because he knows that she's not paying attention, he asks her a question but she doesn't answer. She tells him to repeat himself and everyone starts laughing.

Mr Sapper ambles toward Elena looking crossed, his face is naturally pale, but this time it's coloured red and not the kind that is on one's cheeks that shows that they're blushing but the kind that has anger written all over his face. As soon as she stepped into math class she became intimidated by Mr Sapper, he's a no-nonsense man who expects the best from all his students.

A failed student makes him angry, a failed student is a disgrace. He cannot have students who don't concentrate.

He leans closer to Elena and Elena swallows in fear. She thinks this man is scarier than the vampires who attacked her and she is not exaggerating.

"I know you are new here Miss Baron-Grant, but in my class, you will pay attention to my classes so you excel in my class. I wouldn't want to give you detention for disrespecting me," he says, his voice sounds so deep, and his breath is hot against her skin. His eyes are as wide as anything and he looks straight into them with nothing but disdain, disdain for children who don't pay attention. "Are we clear?"

Elena nods her head, she dares not look away. It's hard to when he's this close. He stands up straight and stares at her. Alex has this urge to protect her but he can't because he's a teacher, not a vampire or witch.

He still doesn't know how he knew Elena was getting attacked by those vampires. Elena, Pierre and other people asked him how he knew Elena was in danger but he didn't know.

"I just knew." that was the answer he gave to each person who asked the question. He doesn't understand what happened but he's glad that he was there.

Elena on the other hand has to stop thinking about those nightmares, she wants to tell Mr Sapper about the nightmares she has been having but chooses not to because she's already being made fun of as it is, she doesn't want to be the cry baby who is crying because of a nightmare she had last night.

She turns over to Anastasia and she's pouting her lips, but not in a way that shows she feels bad for her but in a way that mocks her. Elena is pissed off and she doesn't know it but her eyes flash a bright golden yellow color. It happens when a fairy shows emotion. Their eyes flash the colour of their hair, either when they show emotion or when they use their powers and it won't hurt if her powers burst out and hurt Anastasia.

It's time for art class and Elena is beyond thrilled, she loves art and maybe doing some art will distract her from that nightmare she had or the vampires who tried to eat her.

She's about to walk into art class, she's going in there alone, Alex does drama but he doesn't act, he's part of the lighting crew and they don't do anything all he, Alex, Fran, Adrian and Margaret do is have a blast by doing nothing. They're only needed when the play starts.

She's walking into art class but she stops when she bumps into someone about to enter the class as well. She looks to her side to see it's Pierre.

"Oh, sorry princess," Pierre says. "Please after you."

Pierre is taking this class too, she almost forgot and she's thrilled by this. Really thrilled. At least the art isn't the only beautiful thing she gets to see in the studio.

"Thank you," she says blushing then she walks in. The art studio is beyond beautiful. It's a wide space full of chairs, art appliances, and artworks made by students of this school, from the portraits to the sculptures, they are all really a sight for sore eyes. Elena is beginning to forget about her nightmare. The studio is all so colourful with different colours and colours she never thought existed.

"You like it don't you?" Pierre asks her.

"Like it? I love it," she says looking at the beautiful artwork. The one of the mermaid posing on a rock reminds her of Coral, which by the way Elena has to see sometime. Then her eyes land on the beautiful live sculpture, Pierre's face. They stare at each other for a long time. Neither of them knows that they both think they're beautiful. And neither of them knows that a certain pink-haired girl is taking a pic of them to show her leader.

When Pierre realizes that he's staring he shakes his head. "Uh, would you like to sit next to me?"

"Uh, Sure," she says and Pierre goes straight to the back and Elena follows him. All eyes are on them, some are questioning whether they are dating if they like each other or if their relationship will be better than Pierre and Anastasia's.

Elena doesn't pay attention to them, she doesn't even know that they're talking about her. She sits on her seat next to Pierre and as soon as they sit they both smile awkwardly at each other.

"You make art?" Elena asks him.

"Yes, I do. I've loved making art since I was a little boy. I hope to turn it into a profession." Elena's eyes widen at that.

"Wow, are you that good?" Pierre shrugs.

"Yes, yes he is." Someone answers for him in a French accent and she looks to her front to see a scrawny petite young man with pink hair in a fringe haircut smiling at the both of them. All Elena can think of is that he looks just like Cupid with his pink hair rosy cheeks and short slim frame.

"Gaston, who was talking to you?" Pierre asks in a lighthearted tone. It's obvious they're friends and they know each other.

Gaston shows him his tiny pink tongue and ignores him.

"You see that portrait over there." He says pointing, Elena follows his hand and sees a large portrait of different fairies with their wings out. All the fairies that exist are in that portrait. The animal, fire and air fairies are in the air. Elena notices the guy she's talking to is in that portrait and then the ones on the ground, a snow fairy, water fairy, light fairy and earth fairy.

She notices that the snow fairy is Anastasia and the water fairy next to her is Francesca. They're holding each other. They were friends before. They're all in some garden and they're having a picnic, they look younger, and they look so innocent, Anastasia looks so innocent.

"Wow," Elena says staring at the portrait. "It's beautiful."

"You should see the one he made of the elves and the knights."

"Oi, stop it!" Pierre says smiling.

"You are really good Pierre. I would love to see your work. Please." Elena says pouting and Pierre looks at her in shock.

"I can't believe you're doing that. How can I say no to that now?"

"You can't," Elena says giggling and Pierre scoffs shaking his head.

"Alright, fine. I'll show you. Gaston, are you happy now?"

"Very."

"Thank you, Gaston, I'm Elena."

"Nice to meet you Elena, I'm Gaston Laurent one of Pierre's oldest friends, we've been amis since we were kids." they shake hands.

Elena is about to ask how Pierre was as a child but then someone slides into the classroom. A young man in his late twenties. He has short brown hair and he has a brown suit on, skinny jeans and a scarf around his neck. He looks fun.

"Hello, class welcome welcome. Oh, the princess is in my class. Welcome Princess Elena. I am your art teacher Mr Laszlo Bako, but you can call Laszlo. It's an honour having you here."

"It's an honour being here."

"I am a very fun teacher and this is a fun class, and remember nobody's drawing is better than the other. We're all equally good." he points at the others and Elena giggles, all she can think of is how fast this man talks and how fun and young he is, he's definitely different from Mr Sapper.

This semester they shall be working on sculpting, but before they get into sculpting they have to talk about the history behind it and the different types of sculptors and artists who made famous sculptures. Elena is excited, and she's happy Anastasia isn't in this class but one of her best friends is here, the one with the pink hair. She's smiling like she has just done something mischievous. Maybe Elena is just being dramatic.

But little does she know that she has done something mischievous.
