Aurelia stared at Elara, searching for signs she'd lost her mind.

"It can't wait," Elara urged, her tone wheedling. I'll be fine—I'm with Caspian and the others. They'll keep me safe. But you need to go as soon as the fighting stars. It's important." She glanced at the men who were still in a silent standoff with the knights, nothing had started yet, but it was clear they were all sizing each other up. Even with their numbers, these masked men were still wary of Caspian, Kyran, Edris, and Chirovan separately, but together, with the four of them together...

She looked back at Aurelia, pleading. 

Aurelia snapped her mouth closed, her lips pressed into a grim line. "Well, you're the boss, technically. If it's what you want, then fine. Just try not to die on me, okay?"
