Chapter 39 - Eavesdropping.

Viscount Olsen was finally reading through the contract.

His expression was that of a man who was utterly confused and, at the same time, trying to convince himself it was for the betterment of himself.

When faced with someone who had such an innocent face and a good presentation, it was only normal to have clouded judgment.

"I've read the contract. Yet..."

Alaric made sure Olsen noticed how nervous he was, clenching his fist and biting his lower lip.

'Come on...'

Finally, Viscount Olsen spoke, "Very well, I agree to the terms."

Like a flower that was just blooming, Alaric smiled, his face glowing with happiness.

"Once I've signed this, I'll send my messenger to deliver it directly to the Count for approval. It should take a total of five days or so, depending on how busy he is," Olsen informed.

"Oh yes, that will do. Please, don't let me distract you; sign the contract."

"Right."
