It took a bit of convincing for Alaric to get the pub's owner permission to help with the wine issue he was facing.
Back when he was in military school, Alaric learnt multiple ways to survive. In order to stand out and not be a stepping stone for others, you had to have something unique, something that set you apart from the rest of the people around you.
In terms of strength, Alaric was average at best, and most people knew this. But what they also knew was he had great intuition and thinking skills to solve issues in the academy faster than most people.
Hence why he was known to be the Loner genius.
Seated on the chair in his room close to the fireplace, Alaric focused his attention on the scorching fire as he thought to himself.
From what he understood, the pub owner had a small magical cooling pebble that was usually placed at the bottom of each wine barrel before they were transported to his shop from the capital.
These pebbles can last up to a month before the magical qualities begin to decline. Now that the transportation takes more than a month to get to the pub, the pebbles were more than useless.
To solve something like this, Alaric knew he needed to think of a way he could keep the wine cool, so regardless of how long the wine takes to deliver, the coolness of the wine can always be fixed.
Of course using magic to just freeze the wine was easily achievable, but people needed something chill to drink, not an ice block.
Just as he was in deep thought, his system's template suddenly appeared.
[Your Earning point has been filled.]
[10,000/10,000Ep.]
[Claim EP.]
'Oh?' Alaric was amused but not surprised, 'It's the Carrier. Ep? What is that?'
[Earning points are automatic points given to you by the system. Once filled, you can claim it, which is then converted to Calming points that can be used for purchase.]
As the system explains, another template pops up.
[Earning points: 10,000/10,000
[Claim Ep.]
Claiming points: 0
Note: It takes a span of two days to currently fill your Ep. If you wish to expand the limit, upgrade cards are available. ]
Alaric understood what the system explained to a certain extent. He tapped the screen and claimed the points.
[Your Claiming points is currently: 10,000cp]
'So that's how it is? I'm getting the special system most transmigrators get at the start of a story. Now that I think about it, chances of me getting stronger with a system is very high. Alaric isn't exactly exceptional at anything'
He leaned forward a bit.
In this world, lucky individuals were gifted a class at a young age, that ranges from, Warrior class, Caster class, all the way to rare classes like demon class.
Although it became normal for people to be able to learn multiple classes as they grow up.
Alaric Montclair was lucky enough to be blessed with the rare class, Beast Tamer. His parents were joyous when they found out their sound was a beast tamer. The happiness quietly vanished as Alaric grew older and remained in bronze rank, unable to go any higher.
Each class had ranks, Bronze rank, silver rank, gold rank, and diamond rank. Getting to bronze rank was the easiest thing to do for most people; as you climb the rank, the harder it gets.
Alaric now realising there might be a way he could actually step up from being the weak bronze rank beast tamer that he was to a somewhat average one, decided to take the opportunity presented to him.
"How do I use the Cp?" He asked.
And instantly, the system displayed a new section for him.
[Shop.]
[ {Magic cards}—
{Equipment}—
{Stats upgrades} .]
'Oh?'
[Magic cards are given based on interaction with said thing. While some are already there by default, others are only available after your influence. Everything on the screen before you is available for purchase.]
He understood immediately, and tapped the option he needed.
[Magic cards.]
All around him were cards from the system, each one having different uses and prices.
The first to catch his eye -

"if my cp is going to be filled every two days, then I don't mind wasting a little to gauge the potential of this system."
Just as he was talking, his finger had already began to move. He purchased the card, allowing the system to announced the deduction of 500 cp from his balance.
And almost immediately, he tapped on the upgrade button.
He watched the card glow and the bronze emblem on the card transform into that of silver.
[A total of 200cp has been deducted.]
Alaric was confused at first, looking at the screen he couldn't find any button that indicated how he was going to use the card.
This was until he looked at the fire place, and then he noticed, he could see the tiny burning sticks that no one should be able to see from that far away. The colors were brighter, even the webs at fire place were clearer.
'So that's how it works. I just need to think of myself using it and it automatically activates. That's quite useful.'
He blinked, deactivating the skill.
Alaric then looked at the screen where the list of cards were placed. Analyzing and studying every single one to see which could favour him in the future.
Truthfully, every single card there looked more than enough for him, cards for abilities and cards for upgrading items, all in Infinite numbers.
But alas, the one that soon made its way to Alaric's attention.
