The sun comes through the window of Elaro Kinsley's small apartment, giving a warm glow across her desk which was full with textbooks and notes. The aroma of fresh coffee filled the air as she sipped from her favorite mug, print with a motivational quote. Despite the comforting morning routine, her mind was restless. Elaro had always felt like she was meant for something greater that goes beyond the confines of her ordinary life as a college student.
As she prepared her for another day of classes, her thoughts drifted to her dreams of fantasy adventures, the fantastical stories she'd read about brave heroes and magical worlds. She did not know that her life was about to change forever.
Elaro rushed to her morning class, going through the bustling campus filled with students engaged in laughter and conversations. She paused momentarily, watching a group of friends throwing a ball in the park. She often felt like an outsider, observing life from the sidelines rather than participating. While her friends planned summer trips and exciting internships, Elaro felt stuck in her routine, longing for the thrill of adventure.
As the lecture commenced, Elaro struggled to focus on the professor's voice. Her thoughts continued to drift on the novels that inspired her imagination. If only life were like those stories, she muttered to herself. The idea of being a powerful hunter, fighting the monsters and saving kingdoms, filled her spirit.
After class, she met up with her best friend, Mina, at a nearby café. Mina was the complete opposite of Elaro. She was outgoing, adventurous, and always encouraging Elaro to step out of her comfort zone. As they sipped their drinks, Mina excitedly shared her plans for a summer trip through Europe.
"Come on, Elaro! You can't keep hiding behind your books forever! This is your chance to explore, to live a little!" Mina urged, her bright eyes sparkling with excitement.
Elaro forced a smile, feeling a mix of excitement. "I don't know, Mina. What if something goes wrong?" "Nothing will go wrong! You just have to embrace the experience. Life is too short to sit around waiting for something to happen," Mina replied, her voice was full of encouragement.
As they left the café, the afternoon sun bathed the streets with its golden light. They chatted walking side by side, until Elaro glanced at her watch and realized she was running late for her next class.
"Hey, I've got to go. Let's catch up later?" Elaro said, giving Mina a quick hug.
"Sure! Just think about my offer, okay?" Mina called after her as Elaro runs toward the bus stop.
As Elaro hurried down the street, her mind was racing with thoughts of dreams. She crossed the road without paying full attention, lost in her imagination. Suddenly, she heard a blaring horn and looked up just in time to see a car was speeding towards her.
Time seemed to stop as panic runs through her veins. Elaro froze, the world around her seems to fade away. The hitting of car impact was brutal, and in an instant, everything went dark.
Elaro opened her eyes, gasping for breath. She was no longer in the bustling streets of her city. Instead, she found herself lying on the soft grass, surrounded by long trees and a brilliant blue sky. The air was cold and filled with the scent of flowers that she had never seen before. Confusion clouded her mind as she sat up, scanning her surroundings.
"What… where am I?" she whispered, disbelief washing over her.
As she stood, Elaro noticed her outfit was changed. She was now wearing a fitted outfit made of leather and fabric, designed for combat. Her long red hair flows freely behind her, and she could feel an unfamiliar power pulsing in her veins. Her heart panics. Had she died? Was this some sort of afterlife?
Just then, a rustling sound caught her attention. Elaro turned, her heart was pounding, and she sees the sight of a small, glowing creature resembling a fox, its fur was shimmering like a starlight. It tilted its head, observing her with his curious eyes.
"Are you… real?" Elaro asked, taking a step forward. The creature comes closer, nuzzling against her hand, which fills her with warmth and comfort.
"What is this place?" she said to herself.
Suddenly, a deep voice echoes in her ear. "You have awakened as a hunter."
Elaro turned around, a tall figure covered in dark robes, their face was hidden by shadows. His presence was overwhelming, and Elaro instinctively feels a mix of fear.
"Who are you?" she demanded, trying to sound braver than she felt.
"I am Eldin, the Keeper of Secrets. You have been chosen, Elaro Kinsley," he stated, his voice was filled with power. "You have transmigrated into a world where hunters have their abilities to protect the balance of magic and reality."
Elaro's heart raced as she listened his words. "Chosen? What do you mean? I'm just an ordinary girl!"
Eldin stepped closer, the shadows shifting to reveal his piercing blue eyes. "You are far from ordinary. You possess an SSS-class power, a rare gift that will allow you to evolve and become a powerful hunter. But the great power comes with great responsibility."
Elaro's heart froze. She had dreamed of adventures, but this was beyond anything she could have imagined. "What do I need to do?"
"First you must embrace your abilities, train well, and face the challenges that lies ahead. Darkness lays in this realm, and it is up to you and others like you to fight with it," Eldin explained, gesturing for her to follow him.
As they walked through the deep forest, Elaro felt excitement and fear growing within her. She was no longer the ordinary girl she had been, now she had a long destiny ahead.
