Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Awakening of the Successor

As Sebastian adjusted to the glow of the Celestial Nexus System's display, a calm, melodic voice emanated from the panel, resonating in the silence of the pit.

"Welcome, new user. Detecting... Connection to Juan Miguel, the original owner, is unknown, but DNA match confirmed."

The words sent a jolt through Sebastian. Somehow, the legendary guardian Juan Miguel-the supreme leader and most powerful protector of Abyssia-had left behind this system, and it was now linked to him. His mind swirled with questions and excitement. He couldn't wait to share the discovery with Luna, who was still anxiously peering over the pit's edge above.

"Luna, jump here!" he shouted up at her, his voice echoing off the ancient walls.

Luna hesitated, her face filled with worry as she peered into the depths. But Sebastian called up to her reassuringly, "It's safe down here!"

Taking a deep breath, Luna finally steeled herself and leapt into the pit, landing beside Sebastian. He steadied her as she adjusted to the dim, enigmatic surroundings of the ruins.

Meanwhile, in the vastness of the cosmos, Oracle, a life form of ethereal beauty with silver hair flowing delicately around her, sat upon her throne in a sanctuary she had long preserved. The Celestial Nexus's awakening reached her senses-a signal unmistakable, with an aura remarkably similar to her creator's. Her blue eyes flashed open, the calm and commanding voice breaking the silence.

"The successor has arrived," she said softly, though her tone carried immense power.

Oracle's thoughts drifted back to a memory from a thousand years ago. After Juan Miguel's great sacrifice, she had transported his sanctuary-an awe-inspiring castle-to the far reaches of the cosmos, preserving it as a shrine to his legacy. There, she had discovered a lifelike doll, an exquisite creation her master had crafted just for amusement. Yet, Oracle felt a responsibility toward this creation after her master's passing, sensing untapped potential within it.

Returning to Abyssia, Oracle had summoned the seven guardians-Kael, Arin, Isolde, Fayra, Thalor, Gaspar, and Adrian-requesting their blessings for the doll. Each guardian, honoring Juan Miguel's memory, bestowed their unique gifts upon it. With every blessing, the doll absorbed incredible power, surpassing all other creations, though still unable to rival Oracle herself.

With the blessings complete, Oracle watched as the doll's eyes flickered to life, its form stirring as it awakened to consciousness. She named the doll Eve, and with a blend of affection and respect, Oracle trained her to harness the powers she had been granted, making her into an unparalleled assistant, second only to Oracle in power.

Returning to the present, Oracle summoned Eve to her side. The doll appeared instantly, her form shimmering as if crafted from stardust, her presence radiating power. Oracle gazed upon her, the memory of Juan Miguel's legacy deeply etched in her expression.

"Eve," Oracle commanded, her tone both gentle and firm, "the successor has arrived. It is your duty to protect and guide him. Go to Abyssia, and ensure he fulfills the destiny my master set in motion."

With a graceful bow, Eve acknowledged her mission, then vanished in a burst of light, leaving Oracle in solitude once more.

Back in the ruins, Sebastian felt an inexplicable weight settle within him as he glanced at Luna. The mysteries of the Celestial Nexus System hinted at a greater journey-one that connected them both to an ancient legacy. Little did they know that a powerful ally had already begun her descent to Abyssia, bound to guide and protect them on the path Juan Miguel had set into motion.

And so, the journey continued, with the successor and his companion standing on the threshold of an adventure that would reshape Abyssia's fate.
