Chapter 24 - Let's Revive Fox Demon III

Mu Feng smiled as Wang Muxue said, "Of course, my mother is not only powerful but also gentle and beautiful."

Hearing this, Mu Feng chuckled. In his heart, his own mother, Ru Ringyu, was also the most beautiful and gentle woman. He looked at Wang Muxue, who had grown accustomed to being naked in front of him, and teased, "Are you planning to meet your mother like this?"

Wang Muxue glanced down, realizing she was indeed naked. However, she didn't feel embarrassed. Being unclothed in front of Mu Feng felt natural to her. Over the past few days, she had spent more time without clothes than with them in his presence, so it no longer seemed unusual.

Placing her hands on her hips, she shook her chest playfully and asked with a smile, "Sir, do I look good?"

"Beautiful, very beautiful," Mu Feng replied, a touch helpless. Ever since Wang Muxue had shed her initial fear of him, her lively and carefree personality had emerged. She had seemed so timid before, and no one would have guessed she had such a spirited side.

After tidying up their surroundings, Mu Feng and Wang Muxue dressed in fresh clothes.

Mu Feng waved his hand, and the boat descended gracefully. When it landed and came to a steady halt, the door opened. Together, Mu Feng and Wang Muxue approached the formation. Spiritual energy surged in Mu Feng's palm and merged into the jade token he held. The token flew out, casting its light onto the formation. A ripple of spiritual power followed, and the formation in front of them opened a passage, like a zipper being undone.

"The passage is open, sir. Let's go in~"

Wang Muxue couldn't contain her excitement as she grabbed Mu Feng's hand and eagerly led him inside.

"Look how excited you are," Mu Feng said with a soft chuckle, though he shared her anticipation. In his mind, he thought about the prospect of the "mother-daughter duo" and couldn't help but feel a trace of wicked excitement.

Though the magic circle appeared small from the outside, it opened into an entirely different world within. The spiritual lake stretched vast like an ocean, with fish leaping through the water. Towering trees filled the air with birdsong, and the spiritual energy here was several times denser than outside.

In the midst of a sea of colorful flowers stood a wooden swing. Its frame was crafted from sturdy wood, and the swing seat bore childlike graffiti.

A small but exquisite wooden house stood nearby, its every detail carefully polished and imbued with warmth.

Wang Muxue gazed around, her expression a mix of joy and sorrow. Memories of her childhood with her mother flooded back—playing on the swings, drawing together, and laughing in this serene place. But the memory of her mother's reluctant eyes before her passing and the sight of her cold body brought tears to her eyes.

Mu Feng didn't say anything. At this moment, words felt inadequate. Instead, he gently touched her head. Once she had calmed down, he spoke softly, "Don't worry. Your mother will soon appear before you, alive and well. If she sees you crying, she'll feel sad."

"Mm," Wang Muxue nodded, wiping her tears away.

Pushing aside her sadness, she regained her composure. Together, they approached the wooden cabin. The interior was simple yet elegant—a wooden table, a few stools, and essential furnishings, all crafted with care. Despite being unoccupied for a long time, the place was pristine, with no trace of dust.

Mu Feng glanced around, noting the warm and homely atmosphere.

"Sir, that's my mother's room," Wang Muxue said, pointing to a wooden door ahead, her voice trembling slightly.

"Let's go in," Mu Feng replied, stroking her head gently before striding toward the door. Wang Muxue followed him in small, hesitant steps.

Her excitement had suddenly turned into nervousness.

Mu Feng glanced back at her and thought to himself that it must be difficult for an 18-year-old girl to face the sight of her mother's lifeless body.

In the lower realms, people were far more fragile than those of the upper realms. Both Mu Feng and Wang Muxue were only 18, but their lives had been vastly different. Wang Muxue still carried the youthful innocence and liveliness of her age, while Mu Feng had long since been tempered by responsibility and power.

From a young age, Mu Feng had been groomed by his family as the clan's successor. Killing, scheming, and seizing power were things he had been forced to master early on. In comparison, his upbringing in the Heavenly Star Immortal Dynasty had been more indulgent. His mother, Ru Ringyu, had doted on him unconditionally, fulfilling his every desire—including offering herself to him.

Fortunately, Mu Feng was mature enough to manage his desires and responsibilities, but he often wondered what kind of person he might have become under such limitless indulgence without his disciplined mindset.

Seeing her hesitation, Mu Feng stopped and gently touched Wang Muxue's head.

"Wait here. Once I come out, you'll be able to see your mother," he said reassuringly.

Wang Muxue's eyes were red, but she said nothing. Instead, she stood on tiptoe and planted a soft kiss on his cheek.

This was her silent way of agreeing.
