Chapter 2 - mr. rude -2

On the other side…

Amrutha is completing the work assigned by Arjun. Since it's office hours, everyone else leaves.

Some time later…

Arjun comes to Amrutha's cabin and says, "That's enough work for now; you can go home."

"No, sir. I'll leave only after I complete the work you assigned," she says, annoyed, and continues working.

Having no other option, Arjun waits for her.

Some time later…

Amrutha finishes her work and starts to leave.

Seeing this, Arjun approaches her, saying, "Okay, good. I'll drop you off at home."

"No, thank you," she says curtly. "I can go by myself," and she leaves, still angry.

While Amrutha is walking, a car suddenly hits her.

Five men step out of the car, clearly drunk, and Amrutha becomes scared.

One of them says, "The girl looks good," while another says, "Hey, girl, want to come with us?" The others laugh.

Seeing this, Amrutha runs in fear.

All five men start chasing her.

At that moment, Arjun arrives in his car with a stylish entry, glaring angrily in Amrutha's direction.

One of the men says mockingly, "Hey, look! The hero's here!"

Another man comes forward, saying, "Leave the girl to us," and tries to hit Arjun.

Arjun punches one of them in the stomach and shoves him aside. He kicks another one to the ground. In a fury, Arjun beats them all up until they're defeated.

The men apologize, saying, "Sorry, sir," and leave.

Amrutha is visibly shaken and scared. Seeing her like this, Arjun hugs her to comfort her.

Arjun says, "Don't be afraid. You're safe now."

Recalling her past, Amrutha pushes Arjun away.

"This is just another act of yours, right?" she says angrily, and walks away.

Frustrated, Arjun pulls her back and slaps her, saying, "You'll never understand! Do you know what could have happened if I hadn't come?"

It starts raining. Her family members at home are getting worried. "Come, sit in the car," he says.

As Amrutha stands still, he yells at her.

Seeing her not budging, Arjun picks her up and places her in the car.

Amrutha, glaring angrily, remains silent. "When I say sit, just sit," Arjun says as he starts the car.

Inside the car, silence reigns between them.

Soon, they reach her house, and Amrutha leaves. Arjun also goes his way.

When Amrutha gets home, she freshens up and recalls the events of the day, especially the first day she met Arjun.

It was her first day of college. Feeling nervous, she heard someone calling, "Hey, you!" She looked around and saw it was a senior. She got scared.

She went to him, and he asked for her name. She told him.

"Miss Amrutha, you have to meet me here every day for one hour and do whatever I say," he said.

"Okay," she replied.

Just then, his friend called him. "Arjun!" Hearing this, he left.

That's when Amrutha learned his name was Arjun. She went to her classroom.

For a week, she managed to avoid him without being seen, but the next day, she got caught.

"Hey, Amrutha! Why are you trying to avoid me?" he asked.

"I already told you," he continued, "don't you respect seniors? You didn't follow my instructions, so today you have to do everything I say. Understand?"

"Sorry, sir, but I won't do it. If you try to rag me again, I'll have to report it to the principal."

"We'll see about that," he replied.

"First, wear this sari," he instructed.

"No, I won't wear it," she replied angrily.

"Amrutha, just wear it," her friend Kavya encouraged her.

Kavya also spoke up, "Why not? What's he going to do if you don't?"

Thinking it over, Amrutha decided to wear the sari.

Arjun, watching her approach, thought to himself, "Wow, such beauty."

Lost in her charm, Arjun couldn't take his eyes off her.

In a blue sari, with her loose hair and cute smile, she looked stunning, and he struggled to control himself. "Wow, it's good," he managed to say.

"Okay, let's go," he said.

"Where to?" she asked.

"I'll tell you. I'm the senior here. So come on," he said, taking her to the temple on his bike.

Amrutha felt happy, thinking he would probably take her to a pub or a restaurant, but instead, he took her to a temple.

After the prayer…

Arjun came close to her and said, "I love you, Ammu."

Hearing this, Amrutha replied, "I'm sorry, Arjun. I don't like this. I'll never love you, especially not someone like you."

Arjun was shocked.

"I've seen you fighting with others in college. The whole college speaks badly about you, so you're not the right person for me. Thanks for taking me to the temple, though. Shall we go?"

They silently returned to college.

Arjun thought to himself, "Amrutha, I saw my mother in you. I'll wait until you understand and love me."

Amrutha replied, "You're wasting your time," and went to her classroom.

"Amrutha, dinner is ready," her mother called.

Pulled out of her thoughts, Amrutha had dinner and went to bed.

The next morning…

"Amrutha, you received a postcard. It's on your dressing table," her mother informed her.

"Okay, mom…"

Taking the postcard, she read its contents and was shocked.

She hurriedly got ready and went to the office, tense.

Seeing Arjun there, she felt relieved.

Meera, who was nearby, noticed Amrutha's tension and asked, "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

"No, nothing," Amrutha replied.

"Oh, okay. Let me know if you need help. Don't worry; everything will be fine," Meera said, and left.

"Ma'am, Arjun sir is calling you."

"Okay," she replied.

"May I come in, sir?"

"Yes, come in."

"In two hours, we have a meeting with Vikram Group of Industries. Be prepared."

"Okay, sir. I'll send the file."

"Are you okay, Amrutha?"

"Yes, sir."

"Why are you so tense?"

"It's nothing, sir. Okay…"

"In two hours, be ready for the meeting with Vikram Group of Industries."

"Okay," she said and left.

Arjun called someone, "I need every detail of Amrutha's morning until she reached the office within an hour."

The person on the other end replied, "Yes, sir. I'll take care of it."

An hour later…

"Sir, we checked everything as you asked. Nothing out of the ordinary. Everything's normal… Oh, and she received a postcard this morning. That's it, sir. Everything else is perfectly fine."

"Okay, good," Arjun replied, ending the call.

Since there was a board meeting with the CEO of Vikram Group of Industries, Vikramaditya, Amrutha, Arjun, Vinay, and Meera all left for the meeting.

After the meeting, they headed back to the office.

Vinay and Meera had other tasks, so they went their separate ways.

Now, Arjun was driving the car.

"Amrutha, may I ask you something?"

"Sure, go ahead."

"You received a postcard this morning, right? What's in it? Why are you so tense?"

"How did you know I got a postcard at home?" she asked. "Have you been keeping tabs on me? Tell me."

"That's not it, but first answer my question."

"It's personal, sir. This is my life. Whether I'm tense, sad, or happy, it's my business. Who are you to ask? You're my boss, and I'm your employee, that's it."

"Oh, really?" Arjun stopped the car. "I mean nothing to you, right?"

"Why did you stop the car?"

"Get out. I'll tell you."

"Fine," she said, stepping out of the car.

Arjun started the car and said, "Walk to the office. I mean nothing to you, right?"

"Mr. Rude," she muttered as he drove away, angry.

Suddenly, Amrutha saw a bomb at the back of the car and, horrified, started running after it.

"Hello, Mr. Rude… there's a bomb at the back of your car! Stop the car!" she screamed as she ran.

Since Arjun was still angry, he didn't stop.

Seeing another car, Amrutha asked for help, saying, "Please, follow that car!"

The people agreed and started following Arjun's car.

"Mr. Rude, there's a bomb at the back of your car! Stop the car!" she screamed again.

"Please, sir, drive faster," she urged.

"Yes, ma'am."

Suddenly, the bomb exploded. Hearing the blast, fear and shock filled Amrutha's eyes.

She immediately rushed to the location of Arjun's car
