Prologue:

A popular myth or legend states:

two races ruled over earth, humans, and monsters, one day, the humans grew more fearful and paranoid of what the monsters can do if they absorb human souls, out of said fear, they started a war with the monsters.

After a long and grueling battle, the humans were victorious, thousands of monsters died, not a single human soul perished.

After wining, the humans sealed the monsters away inside mount ebbot with a magic spell.

200 years later...

Three kids stumbled on mount ebbot, knowing about the legend from thier grandparents, believing it to be nothing but a myth, they climb the mountain to prove its false.

"Hey, guys, I don't think you should climb up the mountain..." one of them says worried about the other two "I'll-"

"Oh come on, do you really belive in this stupid myth?" One of them says, mocking them as they cut them off

"What did I say about cutting me off like this!?" The worried kid States In an annoyed tone

"Ugh, whatever! What do you want anyways?" The other kid says, as they ready to climb the mountain

"I think it's too dangerous for you two to go!" The worried kid says as he gets closer to the mountain "I'll try to find a safe way so no one gets hurt or lost, our parents will be mad at us if they find out, y'know?"

"Oh, so you're not as whimpy as I thought" the other kid says, snickering while doing so "just make sure YOU don't get lost"

The worried kid starts to walk on the road-ish place on the mountain,

As they reach the top, they suddenly see a hole in the ground, as they explore, they trip on a vine, making them fall on the floor, as they see barely visible text on the mountain floor.

The kid whipes the dust off of the text, as they try to read the text, they hear someone, or somthing sneazing down the hole they saw earlier, they go to check out and look at what's inside.

As they do, the other two kids pat him on the back.

The kid who was checking the hole, surprised by the sudden pat out or no where, stands up quickly and starts to lose balance as they fall into the hole.

"Nice jo-" the kid opens his eyes, and says before realising what he had just done.

The kid drops to his knees, and starts crying.

"Let's... let's go back home..." the other remaining kid says while holding back tears.

"i-i-i swear I-" the kid starts to cry, as they hug the other kid.

"I-i know..." the other kid starts crying as they go home.

As the kid is falling, they hear the noises again, as soon as that happens, thier fall is broken by a bed golden flowers.

"...w-what..." the kid says in confusion, wondering how he didn't die.

As that happens, somthing comes out of an opening in the wall that was there, it was a small, humanoid looking goat, the same size as the kid, wearing a green shirt with yellow stripes and brown, puffy shorts.

"Hello??" The goat kid says in a state of fear "is anybody there?"

The goat kid spots the other kid, who is shaking from what just happened.

"Hello?" They say as they approach the shaking child "are you OK?"

"Y-yes..." the shaken up kid says

"My name is asriel dreemurr" they say as they lend thier hand to the shaking child "and you?"

"My name..?" The kid says while grabbing asriels arms "my name is... chara"
