Chapter 9: A New Discovery
Savagely, recklessly, he disposed of her blouse and tore away her bra. And he covered her hot, fevered flesh with his mouth and his hands, cupping her breasts, teasing and leaving her trembling in need.
She could feel him everywhere, and the pleasure was exquisite. His fingers and his lips stroked and caressed her, they licked her, they flickered sparks over her shoulders, along the column over her throat, across the top of her breasts.
She was restless, impatient, anxious and melting inside but Kingsley set the rhythm and wouldn't give in….not so fast.
Finally, at the exact moment she thought she would shatter to pieces, his hands braced her hips and with one thrust, he slipped inside. Sleek, golden, liquid, he felt impossibly devastatingly good.
She met each stroke, wanting more of him, taking all he had to give. Swifter, farther, higher, deeper.
And together, they found their bliss. They touched the sky.
******************************
That marked the beginning of their heated love affair. They were inseparable.
Louisa started making arrangements to request for a leave of absence from her office in order to go to Australia with Kingsley and be there for him during his surgery.
But because of documentation and biometric delays, Louisa could not meet the set date for Kingsley's surgery. She had to stay back a few more days.
So, Kingsley had to return alone while expecting Louisa to join him a few days after.
The two continued to enjoy each other's company after their night of bliss.
On the day Kingsley was to return home, Louisa had to go to work in the morning but she promised to return in time to see him off to the airport.
Kingsley was having a quiet time after Louisa left when he got a phone call with news that shocked him to the bone.
********************************
Kingsley was in a state of emotional turmoil after that phone call. He could not believe what he just heard. His world crumbled as he sat frozen, his eyes staring into the space before him.
He kept replaying the words of the orphanage secretary, "Am so sorry I couldn't get in touch with you sooner, Mr Kingsley Wills. It has been a mess here since Martha's tragic death. I remember you being so elated after getting her contact, it's a shame she had to die like that. Accept my condolences."
At first, he thought the secretary lady made a mistake,he bombarded her with a series of questions in one breath but alas, the truth hit him.
He remembered Louisa reacting funny whenever he called her Martha. The lousy excuses she kept giving him whenever he spoke of their time before he relocated to Australia.
" What's the point talking about the past? The present is all that matters. We're together now." She kept saying.
But thinking about it now, it's just a front. She does not know a thing about what he's talking about because she is not Martha.
An imposter. But why? Who the hell is she and how does she have Martha's handband.
The floor beneath him seemed to shift, leaving Kingsley hung in a chaotic feeling of betrayal and shock.
Then, his emotion shifted, anger boiled within him, mixed with extreme hurt. Why hadn't he seen the signs? They were there but he just didn't see them.
His heart wrestled with conflicting emotions, sadness at Martha's death, anger at Louisa's deceit, more anger at himself for falling for her.
Heaving a deep breath of determination, he awaited Louisa, with his heart pounding.
Louisa came back from work and entered the intentionally dimly lit room. Her smile faded immediately she saw Kingsley's expression.
" Who are you?" Kingsley asked without wasting a moment, standing and clenching his fist in a bid to control his anger.
Louisa stared at him blankly, opening her mouth once and closing it right back for lack of words.
Kingsley closed the gap between them so fast that Louisa didn't see it coming, shooking her vigorously until she cried out.
"Answer me, you freaking imposter." Kingsley screamed and Louisa realized what had happened.
"I can explain, please let me explain." She begged, hot tears streaming down her face already. "I didn't mean to deceive you, I just..."
"So, it's true," Kingsley's hands dropped by his side in utter dejection. "And here I was, the fool that I still am, hoping all of this is a sick joke, a dream or a prank or whatever. You wicked bitch really deceived me, huh?"
"Who the fuck are you? Why do you have Martha's handband? Speak up imposter!!"
Kingsley started towards her again and Louisa spoke out immediately, retreating from him.
"I am Martha's friend, she gave me her handband voluntarily. We were coming to you together that….." Louisa poured out in a single breath but was cut short by Kingsley.
"Lying bitch!, that's what you are. A fucking lying bitch." Kingsley shouted at the top of his voice, gesticulating a big deal and sweating in the rather cool room.
"Get out! Get out of my room and out of my sight forever. The next time I lay my eyes on you, you will have your bloody ancestors to blame. I promise you, I will strangle the life out of you and serve term for it, happily….I promise you bitch."
Kingsley shoved her roughly out of the room when she kept moving slowly and glancing pitifully back at him.
He slammed the door so loudly that it's sound echoed down the first floor of the high rise building.
"Bitch!!!!" Kingsley shouted again after banging the door. He crouched and broke down in tears, crying and banging his fist on the center table of the spacious living room.
How could this happen to him? Why did such a loving, companionate, lively young lady have to die so early? And there's been nobody to blame for it? Nobody to take responsibility? Because it was an accident? As if that wasn't enough pain, an ashole whoring bitch had to deceive him by pretending to be Martha, robbing him of grieving the deceased at the appropriate time and causing him more emotional turmoil.
Kingsley felt a sudden tightening in his chest, he felt a sharp pain in his jaw, neck and left arm.
His heart rate accelerated and his breathing quickened so much that he pressed his hand on his chest, trying to put pressure on it but he fell defencelessly on the floor.
