It has only been a few months since Yuta said goodbye to his fellow martial artist in the dojo. After that, Yuta began practicing alone at home, just like he had done as a child.
This time, Yuta focused more on physical training as he began jogging 1 km every morning and evening. When he's done with that, he did 100 push ups and sit ups which made his body stack up more than his mates.
The sun was just beginning to rise, painting the horizon in shades of gold and amber, but Yuta had been up for hours. The crunch of gravel under his worn sneakers was rhythmic, matching the steady cadence of his breaths. His black tank top clung to his back, already drenched in sweat, as he pushed his body to its limits. This wasn't just training—it was a battle, a relentless fight against his own weaknesses.
"Again!" he muttered to himself, his voice barely audible over the sound of his pounding heartbeat.
Yuta dropped to the ground and began his set of push-ups. His arms trembled with fatigue, but he refused to stop. Each push-up wasn't just about building muscle; it was a reminder of why he was doing this. To be stronger. Faster. Better. Every bead of sweat that fell to the ground was a step closer to his goal.
"Eight- Eight one..." he counted, his voice strained. At ninety-five, his arms buckled, and he collapsed. But he didn't stay down for long. Slamming his fist against the dirt, he growled, "Not enough!"
He forced himself back up, his legs wobbling as he stood. Nearby, an old tire leaned against a tree—a remnant of his makeshift training ground. He jogged over to it, hoisting it onto his shoulders with a grunt. The weight bore down on him, but he grit his teeth and began lunging forward, each step deliberate and controlled. The strain burned through his legs, but he welcomed it. Pain meant progress.
"Keep going," he whispered to himself, his breath ragged.
After what felt like an eternity, Yuta dropped the tire with a thud, collapsing onto the ground. The cool earth beneath him offered little comfort, but he couldn't rest yet. He rolled onto his back and began a grueling set of sit-ups, each one driving home the thought that his limits were meant to be broken.
As the morning wore on, Yuta's training shifted as he crouched down and took his fighting stance he learnt from the dojo and began striking his clenched fist into the air rapidly.
"Focus... control..." he muttered between punches, his breath coming in sharp bursts. His knuckles were raw, his arms screamed for relief, but he couldn't stop. He wouldn't stop.
By the time the sun reached its peak, Yuta stood in the middle of the clearing, his chest heaving, his body battered and bruised. The training had taken everything out of him, but the fire in his eyes burned brighter than ever. He clenched his fists, feeling the slight tremor in his muscles.
"I'm not there yet," he said quietly, determination lacing his words. "But I'm closer."
He also worked a little on his quirk since he decided not to get any quirk adviser. He worked so hard after quitting Isshin's dojo and his appearance began to change as the days passed.
As he walked back home, the echoes of his grueling session followed him, a reminder of the strength he was forging, one sweat-soaked moment at a time.
He went back to his bedroom upstairs and took his bath and dressed in a black short jean and a white hoodie with a blue face mask. Yuta took his breakfast his mom prepared for him before she left for work.
Yuta finished his breakfast and exited the house while locking the door since his mom told him to do so to avoid any breakthrough of villains inside the house.
The little boy strolled for a few minutes, found a nearby vending machine, purchased a cool energy drink, and sipped it while taking a short break. He used his smartphone to connect his headphones, plugged both ears, and turned up the volume to the maximum.
He connected back his headphones to his smartphone and continued his walk meanwhile he didn't know what awaited him ahead.
He shook his hands into his pocket while walking when a commotion caught his attention. 'Hmm. What's going on again?' He questioned himself if it would benefit him to go take a look or not. 'Should I take a quick look at what's going on?' He began to doubt himself as he remembered what happened the other day when he saved a drowning child but he wasn't so fast and that caused the loss of the child.
'I don't want to get myself into another mess.' Was all he could think of right now as he continued walking while his instinct began to doubt him.
As he was walking along the road corner with his headphones still connected to the smartphone in his pocket, he heard a loud explosion sending the debris of the nearby building flying down, causing the road area into a mess.
Yuta staggered in shock as to what caused the explosion causing all this damage and making the nearby cars engulf in flames. 'What the hell.' He quickly removed the headphones connected to his ears to hear what's going on.
Yuta ran back to where he saw the commotion being displayed and what he could only see were the limbs of so many dead bodies being crushed by the debris of the building.
"Kwaah." Yuta threw up unexpectedly before his brain could process what happened so far. What's the main cause of this? He wiped his mouth with his hands and continued to advance to the main scene.
He got there seeing a little crowd not as big as the first one he saw before the explosion incident happened a few minutes ago. 'I need to see what's going on.' He began to walk past the crowded people and suddenly he got close to the front to see what's happening.
'If I'm not mistaken, isn't that the number two hero, Endeavor.?'
"Hey, what's happening?" Yuta asked a young man standing next to him.
"Even I myself don't understand what's going on. I was at the convenience store closeby when I heard the number two hero in action so I left what I was shopping for and came here to experience what's happening." The man said without even turning to the young boy that asked the question, keeping his gaze fed up with what's happening.
"Huh?" Yuta was confused. No one knows what really happened as to why the number two hero would start a commotion by himself.
"ARRRGH." The crowded civilians heard a loud roar as they turned towards the other side opposite to the flame hero Endeavor. They saw the debris of the building falling apart and someone emerged out of it seeing it was a villain.
'I think this is gonna be a lot of mess.' The young boy gulped as he saw the villain standing up from all the heavy debris he was compressed with. 'Does he have some kind of strength enhanced quirk?' Yuta thought as he took a step backwards but grasped onto the courage of not running away.
"Let's see how strong the number two hero truly is after the number one hero, All Might." He said frankly as he got excited to witness such a great fight. 'But how strong will that villian be to stand up against Endeavor?' He was eager to watch the fight.
"Damn it, Endeavor! You just got my new clothes dirty and I can't turn a blind eye to that." The villain said while dusting off the dirt in his new black trench coat he got from an underground organization.
"Don't worry, cause you won't be needing that piece of shit anymore since I'm gonna take you down with these hungry flames." Endeavor fired back at the villain.
"I'd like to see you try motherfucker." The villain took his stance, prepared for any surprise attack.
"Diiiee." The number two hero Endeavor roared and charged towards the villain with his clenched fist, ready to one shot the villain.
As Endeavor's flaming fist was about to collide with the villain who hadn't taken a step from his spot, the number two hero's eyes widened as his burning fist was being caught and quenched by the villain.
"What just happened?" Yuta asked from the crowd as he wasn't able to apprehend what just happened and why did the flame on the number two hero's fist get quenched.
"Your eyes might not have seen it all but I did." A man with blonde hair wearing a brown trench coat within the crowd said…
"What do you mean by that?" Yuta turned and asked…
