ADRIANA'S POV
We were walking back to the mansion with me leading the way, my steps brisk and full of intention while he walked behind me, his hands in his pockets and his gaze burning into my back. The intense stare almost made my legs wobble, but I managed to make it to the house.
He seemed to be deep in thought, too, like he was trying to gauge my reaction to something.
As soon as we got into the house, I sat down on the couch, refusing to look at him even as he sat on the couch right in front of me.
"Look, once more, I just want to say I'm sorry, I really didn't mㅡ." He began to apologize again, but I cut him off.
"I'm not really interested in your apologies. I want more answers, and you said you would give them to me if I asked, correct?"
He nodded immediately, his gaze fixed on me, unwavering.
