ADRIANA'S POV
The sound of the gunshots kept ringing in my ears even as I opened an eye to peek at what I had done and it seemed that the air had been knocked out of my windpipes when I saw the sight before me.
The man whom I had shot now sported a gaping hole where an eye had once been.
My lips parted and a strangled sound escaped my lips as I saw blood spurt out of the eye socket, a choked sound coming from the man before he fell to the ground.
My hands shook as I looked at him. I had shot to kill, but now that it had actually happened, it felt like the one part of me that I had been trying to protect had been ripped out.
It was only a matter of time before Master LaRosa or whoever worked from him would barge in here and come to kill me. The gunshot was loud enough to attract anyone who was outside the room and I knew that it was only a matter of time before who was stationed outside the door barged in.
