Chapter 29 - Luna Felix

But he didn't know that his sneaky behaviour was noticed by the two figures sitting inside the carriage. They seemed to see and feel everything, even when they were sitting in a special carriage that could even stop spiritual thoughts.

"Is he the disciple Senior Caine recently took in?" The stunning woman asked, her voice smooth yet curious. She sat elegantly within the carriage, her long, slender legs crossed, exuding an aura of confidence and allure.

With a beauty capable of toppling kingdoms, she gazed at Ash with a look of keen interest, as if trying to unravel everything about him.

Sitting on the other side of the carriage was an old man who appeared to be in his fifties. He had a very sharp and strong aura, so much so that even powerful martial artists would have felt their eyes tingle just by looking at him.

"Hmm, it should be." The man commented calmly.

"Hey, I thought he'd be special, but he doesn't seem all that exceptional," the woman said, a hint of disappointment in her tone. "He just seems to have slightly stronger spiritual power and nothing else."

"Don't judge people by their current strength," the old man with a sharp, commanding aura replied calmly. "While he might seem weak to you now, the future isn't something that can be easily predicted. If Senior Caine took him as a disciple—even after all his experiences—it naturally means he saw something extraordinary in him."

She calmed down hearing this and somewhat agreed with the words, but still, she had her doubts and again glanced at Ash for a moment before she started to discuss the main matter at hand.

"Alright, Uncle, that's enough chit-chat," she said, her tone shifting to be serious. "Let's focus on the matter at hand. Do you think the plan will succeed?" She asked, her sharp gaze fixed on the old man seated across from her.

"Don't worry; they will come. It's their best chance, so they have to make their move, " he said calmly and confidently, assuring her.

She nodded and then quietly waited for the right time.

Ash and others who didn't know what the two of them discussed were happily moving forward without any tension and worries.

They travelled for around twelve hours before they stopped for the first time of their journey. And Ash also was finally able to see the two guests in the carriage as they stepped out for some fresh air.

The moment she stepped in, everyone stopped whatever they were doing as they lost themselves in her beauty. For a moment everyone just glanced at her, but maybe because they were from Black Iron Village and had seen Lady Leatrix, who was not less beautiful than her, they quickly snapped back.

Ash was also momentarily surprised as he watched her step out of the carriage. Her movements were calm and graceful, exuding an almost ethereal aura. However, he quickly composed himself, forcing his expression to remain neutral.

She, on the other hand, seemed completely accustomed to being the centre of attention, paying no mind to the admiring gazes of those around her. Instead, her focus shifted toward Ash, who was the quickest to regain his composure after seeing her.

She smiled and started to walk towards him, not only surprising others but also him. Others quickly made their way as she calmly walked through the group, who seemed to feel blessed even being able to breathe the same air around her.

"You should be Ash, senior Caine's apprentice." She said as she stopped right in front of him.

"Ah, yes, miss, I am Ash." He calmly looked into her deep blue eyes and quickly answered. Although a bit surprised internally, he still quickly calmed his nerves and expression. Although the person in front is a true beauty, he also isn't an ordinary young man who hasn't seen the world.

"Oh, you're not nervous? You even dared to look back at me," she said with a faint, amused smile. "Not bad. Although you're weak, it seems you at least have a strong mind." Her eyes briefly scanned his features before she added, "And now that I look closely, your face isn't bad either."

She reached out, placing a finger under his chin to tilt his face upward, holding it gently. To others watching, it looked as though she were teasing him, her actions playful yet commanding.

However, her teasing left the onlookers seething with jealousy. Watching Ash being casually teased by such a stunning woman was enough to make them envious to their core. They wouldn't have even dared to dream of such an interaction, yet it was happening right in front of their eyes.

But Ash wasn't feeling that excited as he felt this woman was not only dangerous but was also a trouble magnet. Here right now, he might not have faced a problem, but he was sure if the words got out, trouble would come running towards him.

He knew that her identity was far from simple. Someone like her would undoubtedly have countless admirers—simps from various powerful backgrounds in the Empire's capital. Among those eager fools, there were bound to be some impulsive, horny dogs who couldn't control themselves and would inevitably cause trouble for him.

As his face became a bit pale thinking about it, she also seemed to notice this and smiled as she saw through his thoughts.

"You look troubled," she said with a teasing smile. "But if you perform well, I don't mind taking care of you."

With that, she withdrew her hand from his chin and turned to leave. However, just before stepping back, she paused as if remembering something. Glancing over her shoulder, she added with a playful smirk, "Oh, and remember—my name is Luna. Luna Felix."

She didn't try to hide her words; they were loud and clear, and everyone in the caravan clearly heard her and felt shocked and couldn't help but look a few glances at Ash to know why such beauty with status said such exciting words.
