The bright light that filled Luke's vision intensified into a burning sensation, the ringing had never ceased, and one could only scream in an overwhelming noise. But instead of screaming, Luke grinned his teeth strongly like his jaws locked in. He felt better this way to address the inexplicable feeling of matter or cells being pulled or compressed simultaneously in haphazard frequency, his body felt like he floated in the air or submerged in the water, and hot and cold sensations crept into his skin.
His blood boiled, seemingly flowing abnormally fast inside his veins. His mind could not comprehend a thousand unfathomable sensations being cultivated inside of his body.
It was not sudden. No. The portal jump would take about an agonizing twenty seconds or so, depending maybe on the location or the efficiency of the machine. How it works baffled Luke and he never dared to study its intricacies.
