Here I was, at the sitting room, being yelled at by my parents for failing my exams. I didn't really fail my exams, my parents just considered it as a failing score and it wasn't actually my fault, I was just 9 years old and I couldn't live up to their expectations. My parents didn't like me or what I do, the only thing they do is to blame me for everything. They literally hate me, but you may think that I am overreacting but I'm not. They'd call me names, say I'm dum and wish I was never born. One day, they told me this to my face.....
Rin: The only thing you do is to bring troubles and problems at least be good at your academics but you're just SO STUPID.
Riku: Rin don't waste your time on her, she'll still be stupid. The best we can do for her is to marry her off to a rich man so that we'll be rich too.
Rin: I can't wait for you to grow up and leave this house with all your troubles and problems.
I was now getting used to their insults sine it happened everyday so it became a normal stuff. My house was always boring because I had no one to play with, then I decided to ask my mom this question.........
Reina: Mom.......why don't I have siblings.
Rin: Because when I gave birth to you, you sealed up my womb and made me barren. Now GET OUT of my way.
Well that was kinda RUDE and the truth. You see, when I was born, I was to big so in the process of giving birth to me, I kinda made my mom barren. But how was it my fault? They wanted to have me and now they have me but blame me for everything.
Since I didn't have siblings, I was always bored. I mean...there was TV but my parents always said that I'd become dummer if I watched cartoons. So it was only school that made my life interesting, I usually loved it when I was in school even if I only had one friend, tsumugi. Tsumugi was the best, she was the only one who supported me and accepted me for who I was so I told her everything that happens back at home and she'd always tell me.......
Tsumugi: Don't listen to whatever your parents say about you, the tables can turn any day. And you have the right to define yourself and not them define it for you. You can always stand up for yourself. I don't care about what your parents say but for me, you're the best.
She always found a way to cheer me up and I loved her for that. There was this guy in my class and his name was kenji. Kenji came from a very rich family so almost everyone wanted to be his friend, but I didn't find any interest in him. So one day I decided to sit with him because tsumugi told me this...
Tsumugi: Why don't you find interest in him? I'm not saying that it's a bad thing but some people say he's kind and I think he's friendly. Maybe you should try sitting with him and know what you really think about him.
Reina: Okay.
So I went to meet kenji at his seat.
Reina: Is it okay if I sit here?
Kenji: Yes
During one of the classes, someone suddenly said......
Haru: Kenji and reina looks alike.
Then the whole class started looking at us and erupted with their personal comments.
Honoka: Wow, that's true.
Teacher: (clears her throat) Okay, let's get back to class.
During recess, a bunch of people from our class and other classes came to meet us while some came to see if it was true or a fake news.
Ichika: Wow, so it's true.
Shiori: Are you guys siblings?
Reina: No.
Shiori: Are you related in any way?
Kenji : I don't think so.
Ichika: Then why and how do you look alike?
Kenji & Reina: We don't know.
Haru: Wow, you guys even have the same mind. You must be siblings.
Kenji & Reina: No, I'm the only child.
Ichika: You guys talk at the same time and look alike so you must be related.
Reina: Okay, do you people expect us to be related?
Haru: Ofcourse. You both look alike.
Reina: Okay, then. So from today kenji is my brother and I am his sister. Since we're the only child in our family, we'll get to have the brothers and sisters that our parents never gave us.
Kenji: That's actually kinda true so I accept.
Reina: How old are you?
Kenji: I'm 10 years old. What about you?
Reina: I'm 9 years old. So which means that you'll be my elder brother and I'll call you onii-chan. So here you have it, we're now brothers and sisters.
And that's how Kenji became my brother
