DAISY POV
Rhea was awake and the doctor was examining her.
"She seems fine, but we would like to keep her for a few days to watch her." the doctor told me when he was through.
"That is fine doctor." Axel replied on my behalf.
The doctor nodded and left.
I turned to my daughter, "Rhea love, how are you feeling?" I asked her.
"I am fine mommy." she said in a low voice, I could barely hear her. As expected, my daughter hated talking.
She was already looking anxious with the crowd in the room, I could see it in her eyes.
"Maybe you guys should go home, rest a little and bring stuff for I and Rhea later. Rigel must be getting worried at home." I suggested.
"That is a good idea, we all need rest, what about you Daisy? You look tired as well." my father asked.
I smiled at his concern, "I will be fine dad, just seeing Rhea okay has given me a lot of strength." I told him.
"Okay, we will be going home now, we will be back later, take care of yourself." my mom kissed my cheek.
"Take care of yourself, we will be back later." Jamie hugged me.
"Help me investigate what really happened at the house." I whispered in his ear.
"Axel is already on it." he whispered back.
I smiled, my brothers understood me and did all they could to help me even though they could be a bit annoying at times.
"See you later." they all left the room, it was just me and Rhea.
I sat down close to her stroking her hair.
"Are you mad at me mommy?" she asked in her tiny voice.
I smiled at her. "No, mommy isn't mad. But can you tell me what happened?" I asked.
"I just wanted to see if I could do it."
"And why did you go outside?". I prompted gently.
"I just wanted to see what was outside. Are you mad?"
"It's okay baby, mommy isn't mad at you"
I kissed her forehead and continued to stroke her hair.
Rhea's autism could make normal life seem boring for her. She was an intelligent child and keeping her interested in normal things was a chore.
Rigel was interested in computer tech and he devoted almost all his time to it, I had no problems on that side.
Rhea on the other hand, I hadn't found a thing she was interested in. Back home, I spent almost all the time with her so I was able to keep an eye on her.
Now, I had to work and keeping her with nannies didn't seem like a feasible action anymore.
My phone rang, it was an unknown number, I answered the call, wondering who it was.
"hello."
"Hi Daisy, it's Silvan."
"Oh! Hey Silvan, what a surprise!"
"Stefan told me what happened to Rhea, I took your number from him so I could check up on you."
"Oh! That's nice of you" I was surprised by his action.
"How is she? I hope she is doing better."
"She is okay now, thanks for asking."
"Will she be discharged today?"
"the doctors want to keep her for some few days to check on her."
"Ok, well let me know if there is anything I can do."
"I will, thank you Silvan."
"You are welcome."
We ended the call, I stared at my phone and smiled. Sikvan seemed like such a nice person. It would be good to have him as a friend at least, it was the only thing I could offer right now.
Later, Stefan, my parents and Rigel came.
"Rhea! I was so worried." Rigel ran to hug her.
I was surprised that Rhea allowed him to hug her. She didn't like hugs that much.
She could probably tell he was worried about her and just allowed him hug her. The bond between her children never failed to make her emotional.
I kissed the both of them on their foreheads and left them to their devices.
Stefan engulfed me in a hug.
"How are you?" he asked in concern.
"I am okay."
"I am sorry I wasn't around earlier."
"It's okay Stefan, I am happy you are here now."
He smiled and ruffled my hair.
My parents were with the children so I pulled him to a corner.
"What did you do to Declan?"
He feigned innocence like he had no idea what was I talking about.
"What are you talking about?"
I crossed my arms and gave him an exasperated look.
"really?"
He sighed, "Fine, I might have played around and made his stocks go down."
"Stefan!"
"He insulted you, I needed to make him pay, I would have done worse but you wouldn't like it."
"Just don't do anything that will piss him off before we finalize the divorce."
"Okay, I won't do anything." he held up his hands in surrender.
"By the way, Axel was investigating Rhea's accident at home to see if there was any foul play. Did he get anything?"
"There was no foul play, Rhea hacked into the security, the guards were reassigned to another section leaving the gate unattended and she sneaked out."
I looked at Rhea who was being fed by my mom and shook my head. She looked so innocent, no one would believe she was capable of such a thing.
"She reminds me of you, just as mischievous as her mom." Stefan whispered.
I smacked his chest affronted.
"I never did something like this." I denied.
"No, you did worse." he laughed and escaped before I could smack him again.
"Daisy, you should go home and rest, we are okay here." my mom suggested.
I looked at Rhea, unsure about this. I didn't want to leave her.
"Daisy, we are here, she will be safe. And if she needs you, we will call you." my father added.
"Okay, I will go but call me if anything is wrong."
"We will dear, we promise."
I glanced at them, they were cuddling on the bed. I took a picture of them on my phone before leaving.
