They make it to the house and it's a relatively large wood house with two floors.
They open the door and Kodai quickly understands why the place is so big.
Immediately five little kids are at the door several of them already yelling.
"Mom!!! Dad is back and sis brought home a boyfriend!!!" One of the boys exclaim.
"No no he's just a friend of hers." He said.
One of the boy's stands behind the others with his arms crossed and a little girl hiding behind him.
"Who're you?" The boy asked.
Kodai just stares at him.
"Hey did you hear me weirdo?" He asks.
"Hey leave him alone! He's homeless and doesn't remember anything he can't even speak outside of his name which I taught him." She exclaims.
"That's suspicious!" He yells.
"No it's not!" She yells.
They bicker as their mother enters the room.
"Please don't yell I just got your baby brother to sleep." She asks.
"Go show him around." The man said.
She drags Kodai around the house pointing out things and explaining other things.
After a few minutes they get to their room.
"This is my room and also where you'll be sleeping!" She says as she drags out the spare bed.
Kodai looks around the room taking in the mess that is her room subconsciously comparing it to the ruins he woke up in.
"Oh yeah you only got those rags so let me find you some clothes." She says rummaging through the closet.
She pulls out some clothes and throws them at him.
"These were some clothes mom bought for me to use in the future when they thought I was gonna be a boy but once I was born they found out I was a girl so yeah here you go." She said.
Kodai begins taking off his robe to put them on.
Elizabeth turns around and covers her face.
"You're supposed to go to the bathroom!" She yells.
But then it dawns on her.
"Wait you don't know English and I've been talking to you like you're fluent" she lets out a sigh of defeat thinking kodai didn't understand a single thing she's been saying.
Kodai could understand some though he's a fast learner.
When he's done getting dressed he taps om her shoulder and she turns around looking at him.
He's wearing a form fitting long sleeve black shirt that for some reason has a longer neck that is pretty much a turtle neck. He's also wearing white shorts with a black belt but the shorts are a little big on his skinny body and he doesn't know how to use a belt so it just loosely hangs on to his hips.
"That's not how you use a belt but here's a jacket it's my old jacket." She throws him a jacket.
It's a thin blue stringless jacket that doesn't do much to keep on warm and he doesn't know it's intended for the cold so he puts it on anyway despite it being mid summer.
"Well that's one way to dress." She says holding back a laugh.
They hear the sound of spinning plastic clashing with more spinning plastic from the other room. They look into the room and see some of the other kids playing beyblade.
"Oh yeah the boys love beyblade, it's practically life for them." She says.
Kodai watches closely as the beyblade flight letting out light dinking sounds.
One of the boys looks over and sees something in Kodai's hand.
"Woah you got a beyblade too!?" He exclaims.
Kodai looks down at his hand and see's the beyblade. He hadn't noticed he was holding anything it felt so natural.
The beyblade looks old dusty and almost looks like stone.
One of the boys offers him a launcher asking him to join in on the battle.
Kodai picks up the launcher, he puts the beyblade on it and holds it over the stadium.
"Okay now you just pull on this." Elizabeth says pointing at the ripcord.
Kodai grabs the rip cord and pulls.
The beyblade begins spinning but the launcher breaks into many pieces and the beyblade falls off the launcher. It lands in the stadium nonetheless and begins letting out a loud sound. The other beyblades in the stadium make contact with it but are sent flying out of the stadium instantly.
"Sorry." Kodai says.
"Oh my God your first word!" She exclaims.
"Don't worry dad can buy a new one we need to get you a stronger launcher made." She says as she begins dragging him to her dad's workshop.
They make it to his workshop where he's tinkering on a custom launcher someone had commissioned from him.
"Dad! Kodai needs a custom built launcher." She exclaims.
"He plays?" He asks.
"Yeah! He had one in his hand!." She yells.
"No need to yell lemme see his bey." He says.
Elizabeth tries to grab the beyblade from him but his hand doesn't budge but stays still like steel.
"Hey I need to show it to him" she says.
When he noticed what she was trying to do he let go letting him look at it.
"Hmm seems like it has many many years of dust and grime on it did he get it from his great great grandfather or something?" He asks.
"Y-yeah exactly!" She exclaims.
"Well I'll have to give it a thorough washing then we'll get to see what kinda bey it is."
He spends about an hour cleaning it up since it was caked in but when he is done he finally gets a closer look.
"Hmm seems like a defense type and looking at these launcher connections it seems to be a left spin as well. Motif is a dragon coloring has black as the primary color with blue as a secondary. Contacts are incredibly smooth as well as a gimmick build into the layer but I can't quite tell what it is." He explains.
"Okay but what he needed is a launcher." She complains.
