Chapter 100 - Chapter 100: Death Questions and Answers (2)

"Have you ever read any 18+ books?"

Miss Spider stretched out one of her long spider legs and pointed at Amamiya. "This time, you answer first."

All the girls turned their attention toward Amamiya.

Amamiya's lips twitched slightly—he suddenly understood what it felt like to be socially doomed.

Who hasn't come across that sort of thing? But discussing it openly and secretly reading it are two completely different matters.

Still, he had no choice but to be honest…

"I have," Amamiya replied, staring straight ahead with a casual tone. "As a mentally and physically healthy male high school student, it's normal to have read something like that, right?"

"That's the correct answer," Miss Spider praised, "and the truth. This player deserves credit for cleverly using a logical fallacy—blaming his personal behavior on the broader group to defuse his own embarrassment."

From somewhere in the darkness, applause echoed.

Hey, was that sarcasm? You're a spider, why do you care about logic?!

"Next, the second player." Miss Spider turned her attention to Kaguya, pointing her spider leg at her. "Please answer."

Kaguya's face remained expressionless, her tone calm. She answered without hesitation: "I haven't."

As a lady raised in an immaculate environment, Kaguya had never even touched a girls' love manga, let alone 18+ content. Her answer was naturally no.

"Congratulations, that's the correct answer."

Excited, Miss Spider's voice rang out, and applause echoed again from the darkness.

"Now, the third player…" Miss Spider turned to Rikka. "Please answer."

Rikka, sitting next to Kaguya, had her eye patch and signature ahoge trembling slightly. She quickly responded, "I haven't read any sinful books that would lead people astray."

Miss Spider then pointed at Yukino, signaling her turn. "Please answer."

Yukino remained silent, not answering right away.

Amamiya glanced over, curious.

This girl, with her cold demeanor and almost identical hairstyle to Kaguya, bit her lip lightly. After a few seconds of hesitation, she softly whispered, "I have."

"Eh?" Rikka's eyes widened in disbelief. "Yukino, why would you read something like that?"

Yukino pressed her lips together, clearly unwilling to elaborate.

Miss Spider's gaze finally landed on Chika. "Last player. Please answer."

"Um... um…" Chika hesitated, a soft blush creeping onto her cheeks. "I have… read one."

What?! Even you, with your innocent face, big eyes and big breasts, have read such a book?!

"T-That was back in junior high!" Chika quickly clarified, her blush deepening.

You started in junior high?! You're way ahead of the curve!

"Don't look at me like that!" Chika protested. "It was for a school environmental clean-up! We were picking up trash by the river, and I accidentally found a discarded manga... I swear!"

"I believe you," Amamiya nodded, playing along. "After all, as long as it doesn't bother others, it's just a personal hobby."

There are even female creators in the doujin world—like the famous 'Eromanga-sensei' or Kashiwagi-sensei. So it's not too surprising that a girl like Chika would read such things.

"Now that everyone has answered, let's announce the result." Miss Spider crawled across her web, dragging out her words. "...Someone is lying."

"Everyone will be punished."

The moment she finished, the skeletal chairs constricting the group, except Amamiya's, tightened inward.

"Ugh…" Chika let out a small groan. Being more "endowed" put her at a disadvantage in this game—the tightening of her chair was making her chest feel compressed and uncomfortable.

"Who's lying?" Chika glanced at Rikka and Kaguya suspiciously.

It's not shameful to admit you haven't seen something, so there's no reason to lie. That means the liar is either Kaguya or Rikka.

"I'm not lying!" Rikka pouted. "I really haven't read that kind of book!"

Amamiya and Kaguya exchanged a glance, silently considering the situation.

"The punishment is over, let's move on." Miss Spider quickly continued. "Next question. Get ready."

"This one's simple... Which country has the highest poison resistance?"

"I know this!" Chika's eyes lit up. "It's aidnI. I once heard from a friend while eating aidnI food that you could probably consume the entire periodic table there!"

"Good thing we don't have any aidnI players," Amamiya quipped. "Or they'd report you for racial discrimination."

Miss Spider promptly announced, "Correct."

With the correct answer, the bone chair beneath Chika loosened slightly. Meanwhile, Amamiya could feel his own seat tightening around him.

"The next question is also easy," Miss Spider said. "Who wrote 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'?"

"Jules Verne," Yukino replied instantly.

"That's correct."

"For the next question, everyone must answer again," Miss Spider said without suspense. "Have you ever gone to school... without underwear?"

"Wait, this isn't a quiz—this is a public execution!" Amamiya shouted.

"There's nothing you can't say to others," Miss Spider replied nonchalantly. "Now, you first. Please answer."

"No," Amamiya replied flatly.

"Next."

Kaguya: "No."

Rikka: "No."

Yukino: "No."

Finally, it was Chika's turn. The pink-haired girl blushed deeply and remained silent.

Amamiya stared at her, shocked.

It's one thing to read a naughty book, but going commando to school?! How many secrets do you have?

"I accidentally got wet while cleaning the pool, so I had to take them off to dry." Closing her eyes, Chika shouted, "I only did it once!"

"Now, the result…" Miss Spider's voice lingered again. "...Someone's lying."

"Huh?"

"Everyone will be punished."

Once more, the chairs tightened. Even Amamiya winced slightly in discomfort.

Everyone had failed the questions, and if this continued, Chika wouldn't last much longer.

Amamiya leaned closer to the pink-haired girl. "Chika, it's time to use your powers."

"Huh?" Chika blinked, confused. "Turn Spider-Girl into Don? But we can't reach her!"

Amamiya sighed. "Not that power, the other one."
