[Ascendance: The Journey to Type 7 #Ch_008]
An hour ago, this alleyway had been a quiet refuge in Tidespire, a peaceful spot overshadowed by the towering structures.
Now, it lay in chaos as three forces collided in a fierce battle—Kael, fueled by rage and grief; the Aposticle, relentless in its pursuit of victory; and the three Celestials, determined to assert their dominance.
Flames danced wildly among the rubble, illuminating the destruction that surrounded them,
leaving no sign of life except for the fierce combatants locked in a deadly struggle.
The air crackled with energy as the Aposticle clashed with the three Celestials, their movements a blur of speed and precision. The Aposticle lunged forward, scythe gleaming, and aimed a vicious slash at the lead Celestial, who deftly blocked it with an armored forearm.
"You're nothing but a scrap of metal! You think you can challenge us?" the lead Celestial mocked,
his voice booming with authority as he countered with a swift punch.
[THUD]
The Aposticle staggered back, but quickly regained its footing, swinging the scythe in a wide arc. "You underestimate my strength, Celestial!" it retorted, eyes glowing fiercely as it launched itself at the second Celestial.
[SWISH]
The second Celestial deflected the strike, energy crackling around its fists.
"This ends now! You will not tarnish our realm any longer!" it shouted,
launching a volley of energy blasts that lit up the alleyway with bright, fiery explosions.
[ZAP! ZAP!]
"Foolish machine!" the third Celestial bellowed, diving in with a spinning kick aimed at the Aposticle's torso.
The kick connected with a resounding [CRACK], sending the Aposticle flying into a nearby wall, the impact sending debris scattering across the ground.
"You'll pay for that!" the Aposticle growled, shaking off the rubble as it charged back into the fray, a storm of fury in its mechanical voice. It swung its scythe with renewed vigor, aiming to carve through the Celestial defenses.
[CLASH]
The Celestials regrouped, their determination unwavering. "Form up! We cannot let this abomination prevail!" the lead Celestial commanded, rallying his comrades for a synchronized attack.
In perfect unison, they charged at the Aposticle, their fists and feet glowing with energy, ready to unleash a torrent of devastating strikes. The alleyway was alive with the sounds of combat—pulses of energy, the clang of metal against metal, and the resonating shouts of the warriors as they fought for dominance.
[BOOM!]
"You cannot defeat us!" the lead Celestial shouted, driving forward with a powerful energy-infused uppercut. The Aposticle twisted to evade, but not fast enough; the blow connected, sending it crashing back.
[SMASH]
As the Aposticle struggled to rise, it hissed defiantly, "You will regret underestimating my capabilities!" It activated a burst of energy, launching a shockwave that sent the Celestials reeling, their formation momentarily disrupted.
[WHOOSH]
"Get back in formation!" the second Celestial barked, regaining its balance. "We cannot risk our Lives!" The three Celestials, eyes blazing with determination, rushed back in, ready to finish what they started. The battle raged on, fierce and unyielding, as the echoes of their conflict reverberated through the darkened streets of Tidespire.
Back To Kael an Jaxon.
Kael yelled, "Eternal Fist."
[Activating Skill : ETERNAL FIST]
As Kael activated his skill, the blue aura surrounding his fists pulsed with a vibrant intensity, each heartbeat resonating with raw power.
The energy twisted and morphed, taking shape as a majestic blue dragon, its scales shimmering like sapphires under the fading light.
With a thunderous roar that echoed through the alleyway, the dragon unleashed its fury, launching itself toward Jaxon with blinding speed.
[WHOOSH]
The moment the dragon collided with Jaxon, a cataclysmic explosion erupted, filling the air with a brilliant flash of blue light.
The force of the impact sent a shockwave rippling through the alley, shaking the very foundations of the surrounding structures.
[BOOM]
Debris flew in all directions, the ground trembled beneath them, and the sound of the blast reverberated like a clap of thunder.
The dragon's energy enveloped Jaxon entirely, consuming him in a maelstrom of destructive power, leaving nothing but chaos in its wake.
The alleyway fell momentarily silent as the cataclysmic blast from Kael's Eternal Fist reverberated through the air, a blinding light washing over the scene.
The Aposticle paused, its mechanical eyes widening in shock. "What was that?!" it muttered,
struggling to process the overwhelming energy that surged through the alley.
The three Celestials staggered back, momentarily disoriented by the explosion. The lead Celestial shook his head, trying to regain his composure. "Is that boy truly capable of such power?" he murmured, disbelief etched across his face. "This changes everything!"
The second Celestial clenched his fists, energy still crackling around him. "We can't be distracted! Focus on the Aposticle!" she barked, but even she couldn't hide the tremor in her voice.
The third Celestial, eyes wide, stared at the remnants of the blast. "That... that was no ordinary attack," he whispered, awestruck. "What have we underestimated?"
As the dust began to settle, the Aposticle sneered, attempting to regain its confidence. "This will not deter me! We will finish this, Celestials," it spat, though even its voice trembled slightly, betraying the shock of Kael's overwhelming display of power.
[CRACKLE]
The tension hung heavy in the air as the aftermath of the explosion echoed, a reminder of the newfound threat that had emerged.
The lead Celestial, Aurelius, regained his composure, a fierce determination burning in his eyes.
He turned to his companion, a stoic warrior named Thalia, urgency lacing his voice. "Thalia, go! Interrogate the boy, Kael. We need to understand the source of his power," he commanded, pointing toward the remnants of the explosion. "Find out what he knows and why he's aligned with that machine!"
Thalia nodded, her gaze sharp. "Understood! I won't let him escape," she replied, her voice resolute as she launched herself into the air, soaring toward the scene of devastation.
[WHOOSH]
Meanwhile, Aurelius turned to the third Celestial, a towering figure named Seraphis, preparing for the impending clash.
"You and I will handle the Aposticle. We cannot let it regenerate or gain the upper hand," he said, steeling himself for battle. "Let's finish this quickly," Seraphis replied, energy swirling around his massive fists. "It has underestimated us for too long!"
With renewed focus, Aurelius and Seraphis charged toward the Aposticle, energy crackling around them like a brewing storm. The Aposticle, still reeling from the blast, looked up just in time to see them advancing.
"You think you can defeat me so easily?" it hissed, swinging its scythe in a defensive arc.
[SWISH]
Aurelius countered with a powerful kick, striking the Aposticle's scythe with a force that sent vibrations through the air.
"We're not just Celestials; we're the reckoning of this universe!" he shouted, delivering a series of rapid punches that collided with the Aposticle's armored frame.
[THUD] [CRACK]
The Aposticle staggered but quickly retaliated, twirling the scythe to catch Seraphis off-guard. "You cannot comprehend the extent of my power!" it roared, aiming a deadly slash that Seraphis barely evaded.
[CLANG]
"Focus! Stay coordinated!" Aurelius urged, his eyes sharp as he launched another barrage of energy blasts toward the Aposticle, each shot illuminating the chaos around them.
[ZAP! ZAP!]
As the energy blasts struck, the Aposticle gritted its metallic teeth, deflecting the projectiles with swift movements of its scythe.
"You think this will stop me? I will tear you apart!" it snarled, launching into a fierce counterattack.
The battle raged on, each combatant locked in a dance of destruction. Aurelius and Seraphis fought with synchronized precision, using their combined strength to overwhelm the Aposticle, while Thalia raced toward Kael, determination etched on her face, ready to uncover the secrets behind the boy's newfound power.
Thalia soared through the chaotic scene, her wings shimmering in the flickering light of the distant explosions.
She landed gracefully in front of Kael, her Silver & Golden armor glinting ominously. "Kael Ashvale," she said, her voice calm yet firm, "we need to talk. Come with me to a quieter place. Those Two can handle the Aposticle. You're in danger here."
Kael, still reeling from the devastation and Jaxon's death, felt a mix of confusion and fear. "Why should I trust you?" he shot back, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. His heart raced, not just from the fight, but from the storm of emotions crashing within him.
"Because," Thalia replied, her tone softening, "I don't want you to become another casualty in this battle. We're here to protect you, not harm you." She glanced over her shoulder at the ongoing struggle between Aurelius, Seraphis, and the Aposticle, her eyes briefly filled with concern. "I promise, they can handle it."
After a moment of hesitation, Kael nodded, the weight of the situation pressing heavily on him. "Alright," he conceded, following her into a nearby alley where the sounds of battle faded to a dull roar.
Once they reached the shadows, Thalia turned to him, her expression serious but empathetic.
"Now, tell me everything you know about your power. How did it come to be?" Her voice was steady, but there was a hint of urgency beneath her calm exterior.
Kael's chest tightened as he recalled the chaotic moments leading to his transformation. "I... I don't even know myself," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
The uncertainty in his heart gnawed at him like a relentless predator. "I just know that I made a deal in a hurry with a mysterious entity."
Thalia's brow furrowed, her eyes narrowing with intrigue. "A deal? With whom?" she pressed, sensing the gravity of his words.
Kael looked away, the shadows of doubt clouding his thoughts. "I wish I could tell you. I was desperate, and it all happened so fast. One moment I was dying, and the next… I was offered a second chance."
Thalia's expression softened as she observed the conflict within him. "You're stronger than you realize, Kael. But you need to be careful with that power. It comes with a price," she cautioned,
her voice tinged with concern.
[BOOM]
A distant explosion rocked the ground beneath them, causing Kael to flinch. "I just want to know what's happening to me," he said, frustration creeping into his voice. "I didn't ask for this fight or the chaos that's come with it."
Thalia placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, grounding him amidst the turmoil. "Then let us help you," she urged, determination glinting in her eyes. "Together, we can uncover the truth."
