In a small town, there was a house filled with troubles. I was a little girl trying to understand what was happening around me, watching the constant fights between two people with red eyes and a broken neck. They quarreled over trivial matters, and I was always thrown into the basement. I often wondered: What did I do to deserve these repeated punishments?
I spent my days in the basement, eating rats and living off insects, as if they had forgotten I was there. I felt hungry and wondered when I would escape this dull place. I found some toys, but they didn't talk to me. There was always a shadow watching me intensely, constantly asking, "Why don't you kill?"
"Kill? What is killing?" I wondered. The shadow slowly approached, taking my hand, saying, "This is a secret between us that won't be revealed." I was engulfed in darkness, and suddenly I found myself in front of someone cooking something that smelled terrible, while the place was filled with a mysterious red substance. He brought me food and told me to eat it. The shape was tempting, and the taste of the meat was strange, but I couldn't resist.

The master of the shadow started bringing me sharp tools to learn how to hunt. I began to hunt and gather food for us. While exploring the area, I discovered a secret passage beneath the circus, which seemed like an old research lab.
I found rooms with large windows, filled with strange things and syringes containing unknown substances. I wondered, "Had they been conducting research here for a long time?" After hours of exploring, I returned to tell the master of the shadow what I had seen. He helped me understand these things and how to use them, and I started conducting experiments on rats and insects.
I asked the master of the shadow about the two people who were fighting; where were they now? He told me they were in a better place and that I didn't need to think about them anymore.
