A few days after the incident at Varrenhold
Reparations were underway as the royals and nobles went above calming the people. Many had lost their lives and loved ones, and someone had to be blamed.
"Can't believe James Allen could do all this just because the king gave his home away. If he had remained a sane person, none of this would have happened!"
"Yeah. Had all those years of kindness and gentleness been a ruse? No wonder people claim he was a fraud. There is no way a noble would be that kind."
The people knew and accepted that nobles were not saints, but James Allan was a breath of fresh air until he revealed his true colours.
"Well, now we know and I hope the king and his men can kill that monster."
Meanwhile, in Castle Brightwind, Duke Allister stood before the surviving men of the incident. They were gathered in a large hall used for knight mission briefing and stuff.
