After dinner, Jiang Xiaobai had wanted to take Bai Hui'er to see a movie, especially since there was a hit North American blockbuster screening lately. As they arrived at the cinema and just purchased the tickets, Bai Hui'er's phone rang.
"It's my dad!"
Bai Hui'er looked at Jiang Xiaobai, feeling a bad omen in her heart.
"What are you scared of? It's your dad, just answer it," Jiang Xiaobai said.
Taking a deep breath, Bai Hui'er calmed her breathing and answered the call.
"My dear daughter, guess where your dad is right now?"
As soon as the call connected, Bai Hui'er heard the excited voice of her father, Bai Yongqiang. Bai Hui'er had no idea her father would arrive at Lin University earlier than expected and was instantly dumbfounded.
"Daughter, daughter... are you listening to me? Are you not happy that your dad is here?" Bai Yongqiang chattered nonstop on the phone.
