The Songlin Town police station was located diagonally opposite the town government building, with a total of only seven police officers. Excluding the two officers in charge of handling household registration, only five officers remained.
Last month, the old police chief, who had turned sixty, had honorably retired, and the higher-ups had yet to decide on a new chief. Today, the new chief had taken office directly with her appointment certificate and arrived at the Songlin Town police station.
