The merry loot had only just ended when the patients crowding the corridors scattered in terror, not daring to linger any longer. Then came the clamor of footsteps, like a downpour, rushing in haste.
One after another, the doctors with stiff expressions emerged from the shadows, and at the forefront was Director Qian, his features twisted in ferocity, sutures bursting, blood slowly oozing out, his smile nowhere to be seen.
