The girl closed her eyes, turned her pretty face away, and sat down still appearing upset, yet the tight grip on his hand revealed the intimacy hidden beneath her slight annoyance.
Kovis, carrying a basket and plates, walked into the house, set the food down, and curiously looked at the girl pretending to be angry and at Leon, who was wearing a face full of appeasement.
The usually sticky sweet couple had a disagreement? That was rare indeed.
"I'm off to feed the griffin, my lord."
"Uh-huh, have your meal early too," Leon instructed.
Kovis nodded and headed upstairs with the basket of raw meat.
