The unstoppable Riding Spear fell like a heavy hammer crushing the air.
The golden-haired girl's locks flew around her in a whirl.
The momentum of the Riding Spear, stabbed into the ground, cracking it with a spray of stones and sand.
"What?" The knight, whose strike failed, felt a chill on his back in that instant.
Shocked, he hastily raised his Riding Spear and lifted his right arm, just dodging the blade's wheel of light sweeping upwards like the full moon.
So fast!
Unable to retaliate in the brief moment, the racing Warhorse had already carried the knight past the girl.
As if dancing a waltz, with a light tap of her right foot, she halted Cat Spinning's leaping posture, Olivia's long sword slanted towards the sky, held high.
The silver glow like a fan—
The slicing blade cut through the horse's legs, which were so close.
Blood splattered. The unprotected hind legs of the Warhorse were severed by one sword strike.
The Warhorse neighed painfully and fell to the ground with a thunderous noise due to the monstrous momentum.
The heavily armored knight was thrown off.
Mr. Brian Sr. steered his mount to avoid the horse with severed legs in front.
He dropped his Spear, bent over, and reached out with his free right hand toward his daughter, shouting urgently, "Get on quickly!"
The girl turned back, attempting to grab her father's extended hand to help mount the horse, but suddenly noticed a flicker in the distance and had to turn swiftly to slash through a cold arrow shot from a distant rooftop.
That caused Olivia to miss her chance to mount.
The old blacksmith reined in his steed, stopping the rapid ride. He turned his horse in a small circle, trying to get back to his daughter's side.
Meanwhile, a Heavy Armor Knight that had fallen far off had already clambered up.
He glanced at his whining, legless mount next to him, furious.
He grabbed the Riding Spear from the ground, the Knight Kantadar turned back to look at the father and daughter, and flung it through the air!
The terrifying whistle of the wind approached, and the thick Riding Spear flew towards Mr. Brian Sr. like a cannonball.
The old blacksmith saw the approaching shadow and shocked, failed to dodge in time.
A loud thud was heard as the horse beneath him was pierced through the neck by the Riding Spear.
The Warhorse did not even get to neigh before it died on the spot.
The unspent force of the spearhead also brutally hit the old blacksmith's Chest Armor.
Due to the immense force, the spearhead burst, and Brian was thrown back, crashing heavily to the ground.
"Father!"
The sudden catastrophe caught Olivia off guard; she ran full speed to her relative, her eyes filled with panic.
The Chest Armor bore a terrifying dent from the Throwing Spear, and Mr. Brian Sr. couldn't help but twist his body in pain as he coughed up blood.
"No! No… not this, Father!" Olivia's eyes brimmed with tears she could not hold back.
Struggling to open his eyes, he saw his daughter with tears swirling in her eyes. The old blacksmith opened his mouth, blood lining his teeth.
"I… can't make it out... you…"
He squeezed out a staccato shout through his gritted teeth, "Run… you can't… die here... silly girl!"
The Heavy Armor Knight's heavy metal footsteps approached slowly; hearing the old blacksmith's urging, he let out a taunt.
Holding a Kite Shield and drawing the Sword at his waist, he knocked the Shield to draw their attention.
His muffled voice, thick in the Knight Helmet and broken in the Felu language, declared, "You won't make it anywhere."
The girl turned her head to glare at him, she rose to stand protectively in front of her father, sword in both hands, ready.
The tall Heavy Armor Knight halted his steps, raising his hand to lift his faceplate, revealing a face scarred and fierce.
"I am Mamor of Glast, your Martial Arts aren't bad, young lady. I give you the honor of hearing my name."
After speaking, Mamor lowered his faceplate again, raising the Blade before him.
He didn't care whether the beautiful village girl knew the ritual of the duel; he was merely thrilled that this adept swordswoman was worthy of dying by his sword.
In the distance, bow riders on the rooftops, watching the noble's respectful sword salute, lowered the bows and arrows they had ready.
Commoners do not have the right to obstruct a knight's challenge for a duel.
If he dared to try to shoot the girl at that moment, even if he succeeded, what awaited him would not be a reward but execution for the crime of dishonoring knightly honor.
"You do not deserve... to know my name, villain—!"
Before the girl's angry voice fell, her furious figure had instantly crossed the short distance, and her long sword chopped down towards him.
Clang!
Mamor, who was already prepared, blocked the fierce and swift slash with his shield.
The shield was knocked slightly askew.
Inside, the knight was shocked at the girl's strength, given the disparity in both their weight and stature.
Although surprised, his response did not hesitate for a moment.
The blade he was holding stabbed out swiftly and cunningly from the edge of the shield, its sharp cold light aimed directly at the golden-haired girl's body.
Olivia simply pressed the blade she was bracing against the shield to the left, easily using the lever force of the strong sword to block the knight's counterattack.
The girl's footsteps did not falter, and her petite body had already dashed to the side of the knight at the moment he raised his shield, obstructing his field of vision.
The long sword she had previously pressed left to block was once again pulled back by her, and the blade carved out a beautiful geometrical trajectory like a windmill, heavily chopping at the knight's shoulder and arm.
The powerful clang of metal foretold how exquisite this strike was, yet how futile.
Olivia dragged the blade, trying to embed the long sword into the enemy's armor joints swiftly, but the opponent's twisting upper body forced the girl to immediately leap back.
The knight's long sword missed the girl's body by a hair's breadth; the blade's wind stirred up Olivia's golden hair.
This fierce chop nearly cleaved her in two.
"Heh, little girl, it seems this is your first time fighting a real knight," Mamor, covered in thick plate armor, mocked.
"May you be armored well in your next life before facing me again," he almost roared at the end, the Heavy Armor Knight's large body surged forward like a war chariot.
He used his solid armor to compress the girl's space for movement, while his kite shield smashed down like a hammer.
Olivia, with furrowed brows, dodged swiftly and tried to raise her sword to counterattack.
But the knight, relying on his protection, whirled his left arm without any reservation.
Whoosh—!
The sound of the wind was heavy as a shield strike forced the girl to leap back once again to avoid it.
Yet, she was not fooled by the feint; as soon as she stabilized, she tilted her body and countered with her sword, almost immediately blocking the knight's subsequent second heavy downward slash of the long sword.
Her arms gracefully circled to the left, deftly offloading this terribly forceful blow, and Olivia's figure surged forward under the astonished gaze of the knight.
Completely defying the principles of swordsmanship, as if embracing a foolish act of throwing herself into danger, the girl completely closed the distance.
The knight reflexively used his shield to block her body, but the large, forceful impact was used by Olivia against him.
The girl leaped high with both feet on the ground, stepping lightly on the shield to gain a bit of leverage and then vaulted into the air.
The rear-dragging sword handle was fully pulled by her hands, rotating once around her axis, and the inverted girl hammered down the pommel of her sword from above the knight's head.
The pommel, thick like a hammer head, crashed loudly, heavily hammering the back of the knight's helmet.
Mamor only felt his vision turn stark white for an instant, his brain numbed, and the dizzying concussion caused his heavy body to stagger a few steps forward.
The uneasy knight tried to turn around, but his limbs were unresponsive and sluggish for a short moment.
Just that one second's delay allowed the girl who had somersaulted to land behind him to drive her long sword into the gap between Mamor's armor and his upper thigh.
"Argh!" the Heavy Armor Knight groaned, forced to kneel.
This was the greatest weakness of knightly heavy armor compared to infantry armor.
Olivia promptly pulled out the blood-red blade, her sword snaking swiftly to stab into the gap under the enemy's armpit.
Just as she was about to forcefully penetrate the chain armor into the chest cavity, a heavily accented shout interrupted the girl's action.
"Enough! Cease!" another noble knight not far away shouted loudly.
Olivia glanced sideways with widened pupils.
In the intense exchange with the knight, they had been surrounded by the Kantadar Cavalry.
And her father, who had collapsed on the ground unconscious, already had a sword blade against his neck.
"Surrender, or he dies, and you die too..."
The leading Kantadar noble watched the fierce golden-haired girl with great interest.
