Deep in the second layer of the maze, lay the Land of Nightmare talked about in hushed tones by all the adventurers of Thunder City.
It was abundant with Earthworm Rats, giant centipedes, and colorful mushrooms, along with being home to the king of pranks and traps in the maze!
Rumors had it that at the depths of the Land of Nightmare, there was a cave inlaid with countless Demon Crystals. These crystals, like mirrors, allowed one to glimpse into every corner of the second layer of the maze.
It was said that little demons usually hid there.
They whispered evil schemes to one another while watching adventurers fall into the various traps, laughing uproariously at their misfortunes.
However, ever since Lord Reggie Dragon had died, those joyful days were no more.
First, the mirrors monitoring the entire second layer of the maze lost their magic power, and secondly, they had lost supplies from deep within the earth.
