Looking into t-hat hollow, black eyes, it felt as though I was staring into the abyss and, and the abyss was staring right back at me.

Seeing the grotesque shadowy face that masked its feature, I felt it was truly, probably the ugliest, most menacing creature I had ever seen.
Its dark mass of shadow was hauntingly beautiful, but there was this mesmerizing glow in its eyes that sent chills down my spine.
...Its presence caused the surrounding space to grow darker.
Light flickered continuously, as an endless darkness swarm over my vision.
"Huff!"
I withdrew my gaze, my chest heaving up and down continuously.
Calm down Dean. Calm down.
At this point, I could only try to calm myself.
Shifting my gaze to the others.
It soon became apparent, just like me, everyone else was also filled with the same apprehension, perhaps even worse.
