Done adorning it, i stared at its surface for a long while before eventually removing my gaze.
I glanced around me, eyes scanning the room with unwavering precision. A weird, odd box managed to catch my attention, my brows got slightly raised as i slowly approached it.
Arriving before it, i bent down and picked it up. My hand hovered over the lock, fingers tracing the ancient symbols with what seemed like a precision honed by years of surviving the unknown.
I squinted at the code etched into the surface.
"A code..." I whispered, my voice swallowed by the vast, suffocating darkness.
Mt eyes darted over the cipher, recognition sparking as i pieced together its hidden logic.
The substitution cipher?
No. The Vinegère?
Close, but not it.
Transposition was the only possibly fit.
My eyes moved over the letters in the cipher text- a twisted blend of lines and jagged curves.
