Chapter 196 - The Godfather's Gift

"Take this."

After devouring "Black Sabbath," Zuke handed the "Arrow" in his possession to Giorno, entrusting him with its use.

For now, Zuke couldn't take the Arrow out of the mission world, nor did he need it to awaken a Stand. Thus, it had no immediate purpose in his hands.

As for taking it out of the mission world, that could only happen upon completing the main storyline and choosing it as a reward. By then, it wouldn't matter whether the Arrow was still with him or not.

"Wait! That Arrow is an extremely dangerous item!"

However, Hirose Koichi, standing nearby, couldn't help but cry out when he saw Zuke hand the Arrow to Giorno.

After all, this Arrow had the power to awaken Stands—it wasn't an ordinary artifact. In Koichi's view, it should be entrusted to someone reliable for safekeeping.

If possible, he would prefer handing the Arrow over to Jotaro Kujo and the SPW Foundation backing him, as they were the ones who had taken custody of the Arrows recovered in Morioh.

"You want to hand it over to Jotaro Kujo, don't you?"

Zuke, however, saw through Koichi's thoughts at a glance and responded calmly.

"Tell Jotaro Kujo that the person who previously contacted him about Yoshikage Kira's location, '21,' is now holding this Arrow. He'll understand."

"You know Mr. Jotaro?"

Koichi was taken aback, hesitating as he suddenly realized Zuke's face seemed somewhat familiar—though he hadn't connected him to the young taxi driver who had once taken him to the airport. Zuke's overwhelming power made it hard for Koichi to reconcile this man with that memory.

"This Arrow is..."

Giorno took the Arrow from Zuke. Though unaware of its exact purpose, since the Godfather had entrusted it to him, he accepted it.

In the original story, Giorno didn't know the Arrow's significance. Though he had witnessed the janitor being pierced by it, the man had no Stand potential and died instantly.

Not knowing the Arrow's power, Giorno had disregarded it after eliminating Polpo, even allowing it to be destroyed by a gunshot.

"Simply put, this Arrow can awaken Stands," Zuke explained, his eyes carrying a meaningful glint as he looked at Giorno. "But if someone without Stand potential is pierced by it, they'll die swiftly. You've likely noticed this already."

"I see... So when that Stand pierced the janitor and kept talking about 'the chosen ones,' it meant Stand potential?"

Giorno's expression darkened. The sight of "Black Sabbath" using the Arrow to kill the janitor had filled him with fury. He couldn't tolerate such senseless taking of lives.

"In any case, this Arrow is yours now. How you use it will be up to you." Zuke smiled at Giorno. "Consider it a proper gift from the Godfather."

"If you encounter someone who definitely has Stand potential, feel free to let them use the Arrow. At least those with potential won't die from it."

"I understand, Godfather." Giorno nodded solemnly, carefully tucking the Arrow away. On one hand, he knew its importance—losing it would trigger a massive search by the organization. On the other, it was a gift from Zuke, making it all the more valuable to him.

"Well... if someone Jotaro trusts says so, I suppose I'll believe you for now," Koichi muttered reluctantly, scratching his head as he saw Giorno accept the Arrow without sparing him a glance. His brief interaction with Giorno had, however, revealed the young man's character.

Though a thief, Giorno's views on the sanctity of life were commendable, which eased Koichi's concerns. At least he wasn't like his father, Dio, who treated human lives as disposable and horrifyingly fed on them.

...

After devouring "Black Sabbath," Zuke's tasks in the JoJo world were momentarily complete.

According to the timeline, Giorno would deliver Polpo's relit lighter the next day, officially joining the Passione organization. The following day, Polpo would "commit suicide" in prison—eating what he thought was a banana but was actually a gun transformed by Giorno's Stand, resulting in fatal self-inflicted gunfire.

Giorno would then lead Bucciarati's squad to retrieve Polpo's fortune, advancing within the organization and taking on the task of escorting the Boss's daughter.

Zuke's main target was Diavolo. He just needed to wait for Bucciarati's team to receive their mission—Diavolo would be waiting for his daughter on San Giorgio Maggiore Island from that point onward.

"So I just need to wait until the day after tomorrow... No, to be safe, I should wait three days."

Zuke calculated. The current date in the JoJo world was March 29, 1996. Bucciarati's squad would get their mission on March 31 and meet Diavolo early on April 2.

Rather than confronting Diavolo on March 31, it would be more prudent to wait until April 1. After all, Diavolo might arrive later than expected.

"Alright, I'll return to the JoJo world three days from now." With his plan set, Zuke exited the JoJo world.

The upcoming events didn't require his intervention. As long as they followed the original plot, everything would proceed smoothly. His primary focus remained Diavolo—everything else was secondary.

...

After leaving the JoJo world, Zuke tallied his remaining playtime.

"I've used about 4.5 hours... which means I have 3.5 hours left."

Having spent over half his allotted time in the JoJo world, Zuke now had only 3.5 hours for the Dragon Ball world. But that was sufficient—he could fully dedicate himself to learning there over the next two days, free of distractions from the JoJo world.

If not for the Galactic Patrol's staunch refusal, Zuke would've liked to bring Moro aboard his cube spaceship for lessons, significantly extending his study time.
