Zuke froze upon seeing the newly popped-up prompt window. He hadn't expected to be able to bring a reward back to the real world after reaching a 100% synchronization rate.
However, before he could examine the three options closely, a trembling shout interrupted him nearby.
"Hands up! Don't move!"
Turning around, Zuke saw that the nearby police officers had already aimed their guns at him. Clearly, his actions had given them quite a scare.
Whether it was his strike that created a massive pit in the ground, or his seemingly teleport-like creation of a second pit, both had left them shaking with fear.
After all, this was undoubtedly in the realm of superhuman abilities, and people in the '80s were still highly superstitious about such phenomena.
If not for their duty, the officers would have likely fled in terror by now. In fact, apart from a few dutiful officers, most people around had already run off.
But Zuke had no interest in getting tangled up with these officers. The black bird behind him transformed into a shadow, enveloping him. His figure vanished right before the officers' eyes, leaving them even more horrified.
Using the black bird's otherworldly concealment ability, Zuke quickly moved to an unoccupied mansion nearby, one he had previously searched. It was luxuriously decorated and currently empty, perfect for sorting out his next steps.
"First, I need to pick the one option out of these three that would be most useful to me."
Zuke glanced at the prompt window displaying the three choices:
[You may choose one of the following rewards to bring out of this world]
[1. Arrow]
[2. Dio's Finger Bone]
[3. U.S.-made Smith & Wesson M1917]
All three items were things he had encountered in the task world.
The arrow, without much explanation, was the essential tool for awakening Stands, initially held by Yoshihiro Kira in Part 4.
Dio's finger bone was something Dio had once touched, an important artifact in Part 6's plot for allowing the villain Pucci to merge with Dio's bloodline.
The Smith & Wesson M1917, a revolver in service from 1917 to 1945, was later circulated in the black market as a retired weapon, eventually snatched by Zuke from a small-time thug in Cairo.
From any perspective, it seemed like only the "Arrow" would be genuinely useful to him.
Dio's finger bone could be used to merge with Dio and Joestar bloodlines, but Zuke had no need for such a thing. If he could travel to Part 6, it might serve as a bargaining chip with Pucci. But as he currently couldn't access that timeline, and Pucci didn't possess anything worth trading for, it wasn't worth it.
The Smith & Wesson M1917 was even less relevant; why would he need an outdated revolver? Unless his real self was as fragile as an ordinary person and his Stand controlled bullets like "Sex Pistols" from Part 5, it might be useful. Right now, it was practically scrap metal.
But the "Arrow" held by Yoshihiro Kira was different.
This arrow not only could awaken Stands but also had the ability to test Stand potential and, under certain conditions, further enhance Stand abilities. Yoshikage Kira awakened his third Stand ability, "Bites the Dust," thanks to this arrow.
Keeping it on hand might one day help Black Bird awaken a new ability at a critical moment, enhancing his power further. Plus, bringing it into the real world could even allow him to create Stand users in reality!
The Part 5 boss, Diavolo, used an arrow to develop Stand users, quickly establishing a deeply rooted organization in Italy called "Passione," which nearly controlled the nation's power from the shadows.
While achieving such a scale might lead to inevitable betrayals, Zuke could still control a small circle of Stand users to serve him.
He had previously wondered how he'd make money, but with the arrow in hand, he wouldn't even need to think about it.
"I choose the arrow."
Upon making his choice, the prompt window disappeared, and Zuke didn't feel any immediate changes.
That made sense. Since the item was to be brought to the real world, it would only appear after leaving the task world.
With the choice made, Zuke prepared to wrap things up in this world.
He wasn't sure if he'd be able to re-enter this world after completing the main task, so just in case, he planned to secure everything he needed in the remaining few hours.
First on the list was obtaining certain Stand abilities from Dio's subordinates; a few were quite useful, and missing them would be a waste.
...
[Congratulations, Player Zuke, on achieving "Perfect Synchronization."]
[A new task world has been confirmed and recorded.]
As Zuke consumed a few of Dio's subordinates' Stands and exited the task world, the system notification sounded again.
Upon exiting, his consciousness didn't immediately awaken; instead, he found himself in darkness, much like when he chose a world.
"So, the third world unlocks when the synchronization rate of a world reaches 100%?"
Seeing this prompt, Zuke understood. He had previously thought there might be an achievement at 50% synchronization, but there hadn't been one.
What could the condition be to unlock the fourth task world?
Since he'd already achieved the 100% synchronization achievement, reaching 100% in the Dragon Ball world probably wouldn't grant anything new. Besides, how could he achieve full synchronization in that world?
Apart from that, he was curious about what would happen next in the JoJo world after completing the main task.
Would a new main quest appear, continuing the plot? But with Part 4's villain Yoshikage Kira eradicated early by him, the story couldn't just ignore his progress in Part 3 and force the worldline back to normal, could it? That'd be too odd.
While mulling this over, he turned his gaze to the world selection screen.
Although he likely couldn't enter the second world today, he could at least preview the new task world's main mission.
