Angel of Healing: "You've been logging in later and later recently. Everything okay?"
After Megumi Kato left, Shin logged into the online game as usual, only to receive a message from the "Angel of Healing."
Due to entertaining Megumi Kato, Shin logged in a bit later than usual, which the Angel of Mercy immediately noticed.
Zuke: "A friend came over, so I spent some time with her… What's up? You even have my login times memorized?"
Shin didn't hide it from her; after all, they were separated by a screen. There was no way the Angel of Healing could do anything with the fact that he had entertained a friend, right?
Still, it seemed this "Angel of Healing" really admired his skill if she remembered his usual login times.
From another angle, it was clear she was quite the online gaming addict, paying such close attention to a teammate's login times. One wonders if she's ever this dedicated in real life.
Angel of Healing: "You do seem busier lately. Are you seriously turning into a normie? Don't! If so, I'd be losing a powerful teammate!"
The game Shin was playing was a classic Japanese MMORPG with both pay-to-win and skill-based elements.
Due to family reasons, Shin didn't spend money on the game, relying solely on his skill, so the Angel of Healing hoped he'd remain her teammate.
Zuke: "Not a chance. Gaming is one of the few hobbies I have, so I'll definitely keep playing."
In the past, gaming was Shin's only hobby, but now he had a new source of excitement.
That was the dreamlike "Infinite Horror VR Game." After experiencing a few battles, Shin had to admit that online games just didn't compare to real combat.
...
Late into the night, after dazzling his online teammates with impressive moves enhanced by his powerful reflexes, Shin logged out of the game, satisfied.
The combat skills he'd synchronized from the Dragon Ball world had given him an all-around boost. His reaction speed was now quick enough to catch a bullet, making games feel like a piece of cake.
Though he had no intention of bringing his violent combat skills into reality, it wasn't like he had to keep pretending to be weak, either.
The enhanced strength helped him improve his everyday life.
"Well, it's time to freshen up and rest. Let's aim to clear JoJo's world tonight."
Standing up, Shin headed to the bathroom before jumping back into the JoJo mission world.
With his Stand "Blackbird" and the spatial ability "Void Miasma," there was no longer any significant threat left for him in JoJo's world.
His only obstacle now was locating Dio's mansion.
With eight hours ahead and four hours already spent narrowing down locations yesterday, there wasn't much ground left to cover.
He was sure he'd find Dio's mansion within these eight hours.
"Hmm?"
Just as he was about to head downstairs, Shin noticed a massive dark shadow slowly moving along the street through his window.
It was a gigantic spirit. For an average person, the sheer presence would have been overwhelming.
Of course, for Shin, such a spirit posed no threat. If he wanted, "Blackbird" could punch it to dust in one go.
That morning, on his way to school, he had shattered several spirits using "Blackbird," learning that despite their intimidating appearance, they were surprisingly easy to dispel.
Though he wasn't sure if they were inherently fragile or if his combat power had simply made them seem that way.
"Should I deal with it?"
Honestly, seeing such a massive spirit wandering around didn't initially make Shin want to intervene.
After all, spirits were everywhere in this world; he'd already passed several on his way to school. If he dealt with every single one, he'd have no time left for anything else.
However, when he saw the spirit stop in the street, he decided to take action.
He was a bit of a neat freak, and having such an unpleasant entity right outside his window wasn't exactly comfortable.
He enjoyed his life in this everyday world.
If he ignored it, tomorrow when he opened the window to greet the sunrise, he'd see this ghastly spirit in the street below.
That would likely ruin the good mood he'd get from clearing JoJo's world.
—Okay, honestly, he was looking to blow off some steam too, so this spirit might as well be a punching bag.
Since it was already late, and the streets were empty, Shin couldn't be bothered with the stairs and just leapt out of the window.
With a controlled use of his ki, he landed without making a sound. The Stand "Blackbird" was fused within him.
The night sky was misty with drizzle. Although he'd take a bath later, he wasn't fond of getting soaked.
So, "Blackbird" activated "Void Miasma," and the rain within a spherical radius around Shin vanished, sucked into a dark alternate dimension.
From a distance, it looked as though a protective sphere had opened up in the rain.
If someone captured it on camera, it would probably be uploaded online as an urban legend.
With his hands in his pockets, Shin strolled toward the enormous spirit, ready to finish it off.
But just then, he heard the spirit speak:
"Can… you see me?"
That was their usual trick. They'd ask each person they encountered if they could see them.
If the answer was yes, they'd attack; if not, they'd move on to the next target.
Initially, Shin thought the spirit was addressing him, but upon closer inspection, it was facing forward.
Curious, he peered around it, only to find a girl squatting at the corner of the street.
She had long black hair, wore a high school uniform he didn't recognize, and her expression was one of dejection. She didn't have an umbrella and looked like she might have run away from home.
She squatted in the corner, apparently unaware that a massive spirit was looming over her, asking if she could see it.
