Before long, Zuke's cube-shaped spaceship passed through Planet Namek's atmosphere, slowly appearing in the skies above.
"What's that!?"
The place where the spaceship appeared wasn't far from a Namekian village, so it quickly caught the attention of Namekians who were planting vegetation nearby.
A hint of worry appeared on their faces, likely due to concerns about whether the visitor was friendly.
Though the cube-shaped spaceship looked like a transparent glass box, the four legs underneath made it clear to many that it was probably a ship.
As the nearby Namekians were getting anxious about the appearance of the spaceship, Nail arrived.
Addressing the somewhat flustered Namekians, he relayed the Elder's message:
"No need to worry; the visitor is a guest of the Elder."
These words seemed to have a magical effect, as the previously worried Namekians immediately relaxed.
"Oh, a guest of the Elder."
"Then they must not be hostile; there's nothing to worry about."
"Should we prepare something to welcome him? Does he need food?"
When Namekians first settled on this planet, there was only the Elder. Now, all Namekians are essentially his descendants.
Therefore, they have great respect for the Elder, and hearing that the visitor was his guest immediately put their minds at ease.
Since Namekians can survive by just drinking water, some were even curious if the Elder's guest would need other types of food.
"..."
Nail said nothing, but he still harbored some caution toward the person inside the cube spaceship.
Though he would follow the Elder's will, that didn't mean he was a mindless puppet.
The Elder was an exceptionally powerful Namekian, even possessing some level of foresight, yet he admitted he couldn't predict this visitor's intentions.
This was the first time Nail had seen someone the Elder couldn't read, so he couldn't help but feel some apprehension.
...
Unaware that his spaceship's appearance had caused some Namekians to panic, Zuke piloted the cube spaceship down to a plain, where he landed it gently.
Due to the spaceship's transparent material, Zuke could already see someone standing on the ground nearby as he landed.
Although young Namekians generally looked quite similar, Zuke quickly realized who it was.
"Nail…"
He thought of the Namekian's name. After the spaceship landed, he took out a scouter from his spherical pod inside.
Of course, it wasn't for measuring Nail's power level. He already knew Nail's power level exceeded 4,000, beyond the capacity of his current scouter.
A new version of the scouter would be needed to measure power levels above 20,000.
He put on the scouter mainly to test his own increased power levels afterward.
"Welcome to Planet Namek."
Nail, while inwardly cautious, maintained a neutral expression as he looked at Zuke stepping out of the spaceship.
"The Elder is waiting for you. Please, follow me."
With that, Nail flew toward the Elder's location.
Seeing this, Zuke took flight as well—while he couldn't fly when he first entered the Dragon Ball world, he could now fly with ease.
Upon acquiring "Instant Transmission," he gained complete control over "Ki," making flying a simple skill to pick up.
Like Goten in the original series, as long as you had enough control over Ki, learning to fly didn't even take an hour.
He'd practiced a bit of flying during the spaceship's journey, mastering it instantly.
"Your name is Nail, right?"
Flying alongside Nail, Zuke made conversation.
"...Yes."
Though he didn't know how Zuke knew his name, Nail didn't say anything more. Since Zuke was the Elder's guest, he simply nodded in response.
Confirming that the Namekian was indeed Nail, Zuke continued to ask:
"The Elder already knows I'm here?"
"That's right. That's why I came to meet you."
Hearing Nail's reply, Zuke narrowed his eyes, deep in thought.
The Elder's portrayal in the original series was indeed mysterious, often showing an ability to "sense certain things," including foreseeing his own lifespan.
However, it seemed the Elder's attitude toward him wasn't hostile; at least he hadn't sent Nail to block him, as he had with Frieza.
Given Nail's power level far exceeded his own, Zuke had even considered a plan to lure Nail away before visiting the Elder, but now that seemed unnecessary.
If the Elder was reasonable, perhaps he could use regular conversation to convince the Elder to help unlock his potential and allow him to use the Dragon Balls.
From the original series, it was clear the Namekians didn't use the Dragon Balls much. The seven Dragon Balls were practically gathering dust, which Zuke found a waste.
Even making small, trivial wishes would be better than letting them go to waste. Bulma in Dragon Ball Super used them as a personal cosmetic service, a far more practical use.
"There it is—that's the Elder's residence."
Soon, Nail led Zuke to the Elder's home, situated atop a tall mountain.
Just like in the original series, the Namekian homes looked like white insect eggs—a peculiar aesthetic choice.
Following Nail inside, Zuke quickly came face-to-face with the massive Elder Namekian.
"Welcome, Saiyan from beyond the stars."
Seated, the Elder looked at Zuke, who had approached him, maintaining a serene expression with his eyes closed.
It wasn't out of rudeness; his eyes simply appeared that way, possibly because he was so old that he could barely open them.
However, according to the original story, he still had about twenty years left.
Nail stood beside him, expressionless. For most aliens, hearing the word "Saiyan" would have been terrifying.
But the Namekians had been isolated from the outside world for a long time, so Nail didn't know what the Saiyan race represented.
When they first encountered Frieza, they had no idea his name carried deadly weight across the galaxy, resulting in tragic consequences.
"What's your name?"
"Zuke."
Looking at the Elder, Zuke didn't bother with small talk and got straight to the point.
"Elder, I have only two reasons for coming here. Once they're taken care of, I'll leave."
