Chapter 72 - The Holy Grail War and Heroic Spirits

Girls who savor the experience can be pretty intense when they get clingy.

There's some truth to the old saying, "only the ox gets worn out, not the field." But luckily, Shin wasn't just anyone. With his current physique, one Sayu Ogiwara alone wasn't enough to wear him out—no matter how many times they went.

After their little battle, Shin finally embraced Sayu and drifted off to sleep.

{Transitioning to Zuke}

[Honored Zuke, please select the mission world to enter: 1. Dragon Ball; 2. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (main quest currently generating); 3. Fate/Zero]

As Zuke fell asleep, he once again saw the world selection interface for the Infinite Terror VR Game. The three options were just as he'd seen them before he logged out.

But this time, there was a new line of text after the second option, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, indicating that a main quest was being generated.

"Could it be generating a new main quest? So, can I still enter?"

Curious, Zuke clicked on the JoJo option to see if he could still enter that world.

Even if he could get in, Zuke wasn't worried. After all, the Dragon Ball world he was most interested in was still en route, and he wasn't in any rush to explore the Type-Moon world.

However, his curiosity was cut short. When he selected the JoJo world, a new window popped up in front of him.

[Honored Zuke, the main quest for this world is still being generated and cannot be entered at this time. Please wait until the main quest has finished generating before entering the game.]

[Current World: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure]

[Main Quest: Generating]

The original main quest, "Defeat Dio," had changed to "Generating," meaning the JoJo world was now locked until the new main quest appeared.

This was a relief for Zuke. He'd been worried the world would be abandoned altogether, but it seemed he would still have access to it.

JoJo's world had quite a few powerful Stands. While they couldn't greatly enhance Zuke's raw strength, some of their abilities were extremely useful.

Even Frieza, with no understanding of Zuke's Stand abilities, could easily be caught off guard.

Of course, this depended on Zuke's battle strength actually being able to damage Frieza; if he couldn't break through Frieza's defenses, then even the strongest Stand would be useless.

It was similar to when Dio faced Zuke: despite having a powerful time-stopping ability, Dio was unable to actually hurt Zuke, leaving him simply entertaining himself.

When Dio's punches ended up breaking his own hands, Zuke couldn't help but find the situation amusing.

Since he couldn't enter JoJo and Dragon Ball still required three to four days of interstellar travel to reach Planet Zuno, it seemed that his only option was to explore the third world.

In other words, the Type-Moon world—though the mission world was titled Fate/Zero, its expansive background encompassed a wide array of works and lore.

Unfortunately, due to the main quest restrictions, Zuke figured he'd be unable to leave the designated mission area, Fuyuki City, to explore the rest of the Type-Moon universe's power.

[Current World: Fate/Zero]

[Main Quest: Obtain the Holy Grail from the Fourth Holy Grail War]

[Player Zuke's Power Synchronization Status: 0%]

[Please work to advance the main quest to unlock synchronization abilities.]

The Holy Grail War involves seven magi, who use the ritual of the Grail to summon Servants—heroes from history and myth transformed into heroic spirits—to engage in a brutal battle.

The ultimate goal of this ritual is to defeat as many summoned Servants as possible, forcing them back into the Grail, and finally completing the ritual.

The founding families, known as the Three Great Houses, publicly claim that the Holy Grail is an omnipotent wish-granting device, capable of fulfilling any desire, which sometimes attracts other magi to join the fray.

The story of Fate/Zero is about the Fourth Holy Grail War, set in a city called Fuyuki.

After choosing to enter this world, Zuke felt himself slowly sinking, as though he were descending into water.

The main quest demanded him to obtain the Grail from the Fourth Holy Grail War, so even though he knew it was tainted by the evil of All the World's Evils, he still had to fight for it.

That said, Zuke didn't feel much motivation to complete the main quest, thinking only that the possible rewards for clearing this world might be worthwhile.

To put it plainly, there wasn't much new power in the Type-Moon world that Zuke felt was worth synchronizing. This made him even less inclined to raise his synchronization rate.

He could only hope that he'd enter with some favorable identity—ideally, with Command Seals. If not, he'd have to take one from another Master.

If it came to that, he already knew his target: Ryuunosuke Uryuu.

Not because Uryuu was evil and needed punishing, but simply because he was one of the easiest to find.

The other Masters were all cautious, hiding away and even using familiars to do their bidding. Zuke had no interest in hunting them down.

There was, of course, another easy target: Tohsaka Tokiomi, who was sure to be hiding in the basement of the Tohsaka mansion.

But since Tokiomi had connections with the church's overseer, if Zuke went and killed him for the Command Seals, the church might decide to halt the Grail War altogether.

While Zuke wasn't particularly driven to complete the main quest, he wasn't keen on being denied the chance to finish it.

"It'd be great if I could start with Command Seals… Here's hoping for a decent identity."

Soon, he felt his feet touch solid ground, as though emerging from the watery sensation enveloping him.

He opened his eyes slowly and found a young girl with black, twin-tailed hair standing before him, looking at him with a dazed expression.

"I… I did it," she said.

"Uh?"

Before he could process what was happening, the black-haired girl suddenly raised her arms in excitement and shouted:

"I successfully summoned a Servant!"

To be continued…

Btw guys, I received less Power Stones within the span of three days. That makes me sad and depressed. If I won't get more Power Stones I will slow down the updates cuz of my depression. ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ
