In the end, the guest room went unused, rendering the effort of Blackbird, who had spent over ten minutes cleaning it, pointless.
But Blackbird was only Shin's substitute, lacking any self-awareness, so even if the cleaning was in vain, there'd be no complaints.
As for why the guest room wasn't needed…
"Phew…"
Shin pulled up his pants and looked at Sayo Ogiwara, now sound asleep on his bed, with a slightly conflicted expression.
Sigh, I wanted to be a good person, but someone didn't give me the chance.
It was Sayo Ogiwara's first time doing something like this, so she hadn't lasted long before falling asleep in tears.
When Shin found himself in a reflective state, he wondered whether she had fainted or simply fallen asleep. But since he couldn't figure it out, he gave up thinking about it.
Initially, Shin hadn't wanted to do something that could be seen as taking advantage of a favor owed. However, Sayo Ogiwara seemed firmly set on repaying him.
Even though Shin tried to refuse, he couldn't, and eventually, they had their first experience together, though not without some reluctance.
Looking back, he suspected that Sayo Ogiwara's complicated family background had shaped her somewhat awkward personality, making it difficult for her to accept someone's goodwill without feeling the need to give something back.
So, even if it meant offering her own body, she felt she had to do something in return.
This mistrust of others suggested that Sayo Ogiwara probably hadn't had an easy life.
Previously, Shin had thought that with her appearance, she might belong to the popular crowd, similar to Yumiko Miura from their class.
But now, it seemed likely that Sayo Ogiwara had been among those bullied.
Her school uniform wasn't from the private Toyosaki school but from somewhere else. She had likely wandered around quite a bit before ending up here.
She had probably had some money initially, but it was all used up today, which is why she'd been sitting on the street nearby, wondering what to do next.
Then, Shin had found her and brought her back.
"Who would've thought my first time would be with a high school girl I just met today…"
Shin sat on the bed, absentmindedly stroking Sayo Ogiwara's long hair—it was quite smooth, fitting the image most people have of a beautiful girl's hair texture.
After this incident, Shin reconsidered his earlier decision slightly.
Originally, he had planned to let Sayo Ogiwara stay in the guest room for one night and then go on her way. But now, it seemed like he'd have to let her stay longer.
Given her unusual sense of values, sending her off penniless might mean her days would become quite tough.
Whether it was out of concern for a beautiful girl or because they had now developed a physical relationship, Shin couldn't just let her wander off on her own.
"Though I bet Megumi didn't expect someone else would move in so soon."
Lying down with his hands behind his head, Shin saw Sayo Ogiwara shift slightly in her sleep, instinctively moving closer to him, pressing her soft skin against his.
She still appeared to be asleep; her movement was merely an unconscious reaction, possibly because she felt insecure and sought the proximity of someone she had just shared an intimate moment with.
"This means I'll need to buy Sayo some daily necessities—clothes and other things… This is going to cost money."
As Sayo's body drew near, Shin closed his eyes, pondering what to do next.
Sayo was essentially out of money, with her only valuable possession being a cell phone, so naturally, he'd have to cover her other needs.
Until now, living alone, he had enough savings to last him until he graduated high school.
But with Sayo added to the picture, those savings might not stretch as far.
He had thought he wouldn't have to worry about money for the time being, but now it seemed he had been too optimistic.
"Oh well, with my current abilities, there are plenty of ways to make money, no need to worry about that."
Closing his eyes, Shin sighed softly. With a power level of 40 and his substitute "Blackbird," there was no one in this ordinary world who could pose a threat to him.
If he couldn't find an easy way, he could always take a stroll through the underworld. The yakuza in Japan were legal, and finding them here was much simpler than Cairo's underworld.
Even in the face of guns, he could catch bullets barehanded or even show off a chest-breaking bullet trick using his "energy."
For a force-oriented underworld, Shin could easily treat the Japanese yakuza as his own ATM.
"There's no need to worry about this world's problems. Let's focus on finishing the tasks in the mission world."
With that thought, Shin drifted off to sleep—only, unlike Sayo Ogiwara, when he slept, the "Infinite Terror VR Game" began.
[Honored Zuke, please select the mission world you want to enter: 1. Dragon Ball; 2. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure]
The familiar mission world selection screen appeared, with the same two worlds listed.
His synchronization rate with Dragon Ball world had unlocked 1%, allowing a second world to be unlocked.
However, although his synchronization rate with the JoJo world had reached 50%, the third mission world remained locked.
"Seems like the second world was a beginner's perk, and unlocking the third world will be trickier…"
Shin mused to himself.
"Do I need to increase a world's synchronization rate to 100% to unlock the next one?"
If that were the case, it wouldn't be too challenging; tonight, he intended to complete the main mission in the JoJo world.
Thanks to the high potential of the Dragon Ball world, even syncing a bit of strength allowed him to dominate weaker worlds.
The JoJo world had its own advantages, though. At the very least, Stand abilities were far more varied than Dragon Ball's "energy." His Blackbird Stand could acquire many unique abilities through devouring.
Abilities like time-stopping, for instance, would be incredibly difficult to learn in Dragon Ball, but in JoJo, he could acquire it simply by absorbing DIO's Stand, The World.
What was a grueling battle for the main characters of JoJo Part 3 was now a non-issue for him.
"Well then, let's head into the JoJo world."
Having selected his target world, Shin's mind fully slipped into the mission world.
Tonight, he would seek out DIO, smash his head, consume his Stand, and gain the power of "time-stopping."
Not even Pucci could stop him—he'd make sure of that!
