Chapter 31 - First Look Into The JOJO World

After playing some games and taking a bit of time to finish his homework, Shin finally went to wash up, put on his pajamas, and lay down in bed.

Today had been pretty fulfilling: at school, he developed a close chatting relationship with Megumi Kato and scheduled weekend plans with Yukino Yukinoshita.

Spending time with beautiful girls really does lift one's spirits—both Megumi and Yukino are delightful to look at.

If it were with some burly guys instead, Shin likely wouldn't consider it a fulfilling day.

Shin closed his eyes, calmed his mind, and maintained steady breathing, quickly drifting into sleep. But for him, sleep was not the end of the day; it was the beginning of another world.

"Honorable Zuke, please choose a mission world to enter: 1. Dragon Ball; 2. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure."

The system's world selection prompt popped up again, but this time, Shin could enter the JoJo world for exploration.

In the Dragon Ball world, his spherical spaceship was still on its long journey to Planet Zuno. According to the estimated arrival time, it would take another six days to reach its destination.

So, for the next six days, he'd be busy in the JoJo world, hopefully acquiring the "Stand" ability he wanted.

The method to gain a Stand was simple—just get pierced by one of those "arrows" that can activate a Stand. However, getting an arrow would be tricky.

These special arrows were initially monopolized by only a few individuals, so getting one would depend on the circumstances.

"Enter JoJo's Bizarre Adventure world."

This time, there was no warning about insufficient entry attempts. Shin felt his body plummeting through a void before a flash of light appeared, and he found himself in a different world.

{Transitioning to Zuke}

As his surroundings brightened, a wave of heat hit him instantly, causing beads of sweat to form on his forehead.

"Is this… a desert? Could I have been sent straight to Egypt?"

Looking around quickly, he noticed that he was indeed surrounded by yellow sand, a desert landscape—it was no wonder he felt so hot.

Upon closer inspection, there was a town in the distance, and he only had to walk a bit to get there. Thankfully, he hadn't been dropped right in the middle of the desert.

He recalled that the main storyline of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3 culminates in Egypt. Could he have been lucky enough to land in the Part 3 timeline?

Before heading to the desert town, Zuke first stretched and assessed his physical condition.

As with entering the Dragon Ball world, his appearance and body were almost unchanged. A powerful energy surged within him, and his 40 combat points from the real world had also followed him here.

"So, every time I enter a new world, my abilities from the real world sync up with it?"

Zuke understood the synchronization process: the 40 combat points from his real-world body were carried over to the JoJo world. If that's the case, then any strength he gains in JoJo might carry over to Dragon Ball next time too.

At first, he felt disadvantaged by the lack of spiritual and mental defenses among Dragon Ball characters, but now it seemed it might actually work to his advantage.

To defeat Frieza, he previously thought increasing his combat power was his only option. But now, he might also consider spiritual and mental attack methods.

Of course, this would depend on him acquiring techniques for such attacks—Stands are manifestations of mental power, but their attack methods don't always target the mind or soul.

...

"Hey there, young man, traveling alone? Need a guide?"

As soon as he entered the town, a burly local man started bothering Zuke.

Probably due to Zuke's relatively slender build, lack of luggage, and absence of companions, the man decided to approach him.

Technically, Zuke wouldn't understand Egyptian, but since this is an anime world, he naturally understood what the local was saying.

"No, thank you."

Zuke simply waved him off, uninterested in dealing with this man.

He wasn't here to sightsee—he was here to find Dio. First, he needed to determine where this town was located and the current date and time.

Although it's Egypt, his primary target, Dio, should be in Cairo. If this town wasn't Cairo, he wouldn't waste time here.

"Hey, young man, traveling alone in Egypt without a guide can lead to trouble with street thugs."

Just a few steps in, Zuke felt the man place a hand on his shoulder.

Though Zuke could easily shrug off the man's grip if he wanted, he decided to stop and look at the man.

The previously friendly-looking man now had a hint of menace in his eyes, and several other men behind him were eyeing Zuke with strange smiles.

By this point, it was obvious that this wasn't a genuine guide but a thug looking to extort a tourist.

However, upon realizing this, Zuke's eyes lit up.

The reason was simple: since gaining these 40 combat points from Dragon Ball, he hadn't had a chance to use them.

In the real world, he led an ordinary life, didn't attract bullies, and hardly encountered street thugs. His fists had been itching for two days.

In fact, even the idea of visiting a martial arts school was partly motivated by the urge to release some pent-up energy.

Now, in the JoJo world, he finally had some thugs to test his strength on!

Zuke's gaze toward the men became enthusiastic. Smiling, he peeled the man's hand off his shoulder and replied with a bright smile:

"Alright, let's find a quiet spot to discuss your guide fee, shall we?"

"Ah… sure."

The man, surprised by how easily Zuke had removed his hand, hesitated but, tempted by the lure of money, ignored this detail.

He'd done this many times before, and although Zuke's expression seemed a bit off, his response was similar to that of other tourists who had caved in.

So, without much thought, he and his accomplices led Zuke toward a nearby alleyway.
