Chapter 112 - Can’t Rely on Rin Tohsaka

"The main quest in the JoJo world still hasn't been generated… It's been days now… Hope I won't have to wait too long."

Zuke glanced at the second option, noting no changes as expected.

With his increased combat power, entering the JoJo world wouldn't pose much challenge now; he'd only need to pay attention to the Requiem in Part 5 and Made in Heaven in Part 6. Still, the JoJo world holds certain elements that concern him.

On one hand, the Arrow from Part 5 could allow his Stand to evolve into Requiem, a concept-based power that could partially ignore combat power disparities. On the other, Zuke speculates his next achievement might require unlocking something like "the second main quest in the same mission world."

The JoJo world remains his only cleared world so far, so he places his hopes on changes within this quest world.

"Guess I'll have to choose between the Dragon Ball world and the Nasuverse."

Zuke's gaze lingered on the first and third options, considering which mission world to enter today.

If he entered the Dragon Ball world, he'd continue training the Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb with King Kai—a technique that greatly boosts combat power and cannot be overlooked. But on second thought, the Fourth Holy Grail War in the Nasuverse begins today.

When he last left that mission world, only one day remained before the war began. Zuke spent half of yesterday in the Dragon Ball world, and he's halved the time flow of Fate/Zero.

Meaning it's been exactly one day since he last left Fate/Zero.

"So, maybe I shouldn't rush back to Dragon Ball just yet. Let's deal with the Fourth Holy Grail War first."

Zuke decided to enter the Nasuverse and clear the Fourth Holy Grail War.

Previously, his combat power of 40 granted him an overwhelming advantage in hand-to-hand fights, but now he's practically invincible in the Fourth Holy Grail War.

Magic beams? Exploding gas? Are they trying to blast away the "Ki" in my body?

Since the war has already started, it means that Masters who hadn't summoned their Servants previously will now begin to do so. Zuke hadn't made a move before because he had no clear targets; now, things are different.

"Alright, let's enter the Fate/Zero world."

...

"The full moon…"

From her mansion on the outskirts of Fuyuki City, Rin Tohsaka looked at the bright moon through her window.

On such a night, many magi are at their peak. If nothing unexpected happens, some are probably summoning their Servants now. Tohsaka Tokiomi, for instance, will use the "shed skin of the world's first snake" as a catalyst to summon Archer, Gilgamesh.

"Yes, it's the full moon, and the Holy Grail War is about to begin."

Zuke's figure appeared behind Rin Tohsaka—he returned at the exact location he'd logged out, in Rin's room.

"Berserker!"

Rin, hearing Zuke's voice, turned around in surprise and called out to him.

However, she quickly remembered her manners and, with a light cough, composed herself to appear more dignified.

"Where were you all day?"

"I told you—I was gathering intel."

When he last left the mission world, Zuke had used the excuse of "gathering intel on the other Masters and Servants." Since he didn't need Rin's mana to sustain himself, she couldn't sense where he'd gone. Thus, Rin didn't question his story.

"I was worried you'd run off in fear."

Seeing Zuke unfazed reassured Rin. After realizing his strength, she began feeling uneasy whenever he wasn't around. She'd even considered using a Command Seal to summon him back—but quickly abandoned the wasteful idea.

"Other Servants are strong too. Although your stats are impressive, some Noble Phantasms have unique powers."

"Don't worry. There isn't a Servant in this war who can pose a threat to me."

Zuke smirked, glancing at the full moon through the window.

"They should be grateful I don't have a tail."

"Huh?"

Of course, Rin didn't understand what he meant by "not having a tail."

Although it was still his own body, Zuke remembered he was a Saiyan in this form. If he had a tail, he'd transform into a Great Ape upon seeing the full moon. Even without one, the sight of the full moon stirred his blood, similar to his previous experience on Planet Cyril.

Apparently, any full moon could trigger a Saiyan's transformation into a Great Ape.

"More importantly, you mentioned planning earlier. How's that going?"

Zuke chose not to explain the tail comment to Rin—it would only confuse her further with talk of Saiyans, a warrior race, and transformations into Great Apes.

"Well…"

Rin looked embarrassed, avoiding his gaze.

"So… not much progress."

"It's not my fault! Mother won't let me leave the house, so I couldn't investigate." Frustrated, she stomped her foot in complaint.

"Alright, if you don't have a plan, I'll take over. I've gathered plenty of interesting intel."

In any case, Zuke hadn't been expecting much from Rin's planning abilities.

The Tohsaka family had a history of falling short, and Rin was still a child. In the original Fourth Holy Grail War, she recklessly went out to search for her missing friend, showing her impulsive nature.

Since she had no plan, Zuke could proceed at his own pace.

He had gathered "intel" all day, so this excuse would come in handy for upcoming situations.

To be continued…

Author's Note: Adjusting Sakura's suffering to a later timeline; having the protagonist enter years in advance would make the wait for the Holy Grail War too long.

Zuke and Rin bid farewell…

Everyone is sad, including me…

The grail suddenly starts to exude black mud?!?!
