Chapter 5 - The Discussion

In the grand palace of Princess Seraphina Von Zafyre, Lucifer and Seraphina sat opposite each other in her personal suite. They assessed each other in silence. Lucifer stood at least seven feet tall, his body lean and muscular. His pure white hair cascaded down his back, while two elegantly curved obsidian black horns, each about six inches long, rose from his forehead. The polished sheen of his horns contrasted sharply with his white hair, enhancing his imposing presence. His deep, enchanting purple eyes had an almost hypnotic quality, captivating and intimidating her all at once.

Beyond his mesmerizing eyes, little else of him was visible. He wore a black suit that covered his entire body, absorbing light completely and making him appear as a void in space. His hands, also cloaked in the dark suit, bore ten different rings, each in a distinct color: red, blue, green, white, yellow, black, purple, gold, silver, and another white. Each ring shone brightly—except for the black one, which resembled a void itself. If not for her careful eye, Seraphina might have missed it.

But it was his aura that struck her the most, filling the room and almost suffocating her. Lucifer, now capable of using the powers he possessed in the game, observed her with keen interest. His legendary "Eye of the Abyss," acquired through a legendary quest, gave him insight into her aura, affinity, emotions, and potential. As he looked at Seraphina, he noticed a mix of gold and black in her aura, signaling her good intentions but her willingness to do whatever it took to achieve her ambitions. He sensed her affinity for light and fire magic, which was S-Rank, along with her fear of him mingling with her confidence.

Outwardly, Seraphina was tall and graceful. Her long and flowing raven black hairs, and her golden robe signified her royal lineage. Her fair skin radiated a subtle warmth, and her beauty was undeniable. She possessed a magnetic charm that could attract anyone, yet Lucifer remained unaffected, treating this encounter with the same cool detachment as if he were still in the game.

After a few moments of silence, Seraphina broke it. "Lucifer Morningstar, I need your help. Although my words may seem prudent after enslaving you, I can make you do as I wish and even destroy your soul. But I won't take that path. I would rather have you as an ally." She leaned forward, her tone shifting. "As long as you stay by my side and help me, I'll give you whatever you desire—money, women, treasures. Just ask. In return, I want your loyalty and power."

Although her offer sounded generous, Lucifer perceived the underlying threat in her words. He played along, acting like her subordinate for now, but inwardly he resolved to find a way to escape this enslavement and, if possible, return to Earth—or bring his family here. He wasn't ready to live alone in this foreign world, but he'd need patience.

"You ask, and you shall receive," Lucifer said smoothly. "Tell me, lady, what do you desire the most? I will provide."

"Control," she answered without hesitation. "I want power over the empire and, if possible, the world."

Lucifer nodded, asking, "Then tell me about this world. Who are the powerhouses here, and where do you belong?"

She explained the rank with a knowing smile, "Our magic starts from Novice, then Awakened, Epic, Origin, Mystic, and Imperishable. Each has nine ranks, from F to SSS. I only know up to the Imperishable realm. In the surrounding empires, the most powerful are only at the level of SSS rank Mystic. Even in our empire, my father, who rules, is an SSS Mystic rank. I am an Epic Ranked and on the cusp of breaking through Origin. However, we have a trump card: our great ancestor, the most powerful person in the last 10,000 years, is an F-rank Imperishable. That's why our kingdom is safe even while being surrounded by four non-human empires. I don't know what exists above the Imperishable realm, but I know something does."

Her words confirmed they were far different from the game he knew. The game ranked magic as Mortal, Adept, Ascendant, Legendary, Mythical, Saint, Saint Lord, and finally Godhood. According to his calculations, he would lie somewhere between the SSS-Rank of the Imperishable realm. It wasn't long before Lucifer agreed to help, all while calculating his next steps. Yet he couldn't help but feel a pang of frustration—if not for her enslavement spell, he could have leveled entire cities by now.

"From now on, you'll be my right-hand man. Why don't you get settled?" Seraphina said.

Lucifer replied with a smirk, "Why not start by assigning me a place?"

Her cool gaze didn't waver. "You'll be staying in my room."

"Why?" he asked, genuinely puzzled.

"The summoning spell has a condition: you can't go more than five feet away from me. If you do, you might die—or worse." The revelation shocked him; he had hoped he could act behind her back. Now he had to play his cards even closer to his chest.

"Well, we can't exactly share a bed, can we?" he remarked, masking his concern with humor.

Seraphina shrugged. "I'll arrange a bed for you. For now, you'll need to fit in with the court's appearance standards. A demon roaming freely isn't exactly subtle."

Lucifer raised an eyebrow. "I can handle that myself," he replied, though he quickly remembered he wasn't in the game. "But I do need a place to change."

"Then use my wardrobe," she offered casually.

She led him into a side room off her suite, filled with towering mirrors and chandeliers casting a warm glow. Every corner was adorned with rich fabrics and shimmering metals, arranged meticulously.

Lucifer stepped inside and shut the door—only to feel a sharp pain shoot through his head, forcing him to stumble back. Seraphina opened the door to find him wincing in pain. He realized he couldn't even be separated from her by a wall.

With a sigh, he asked, "So, do I have to change here?"

Seraphina laughed, her tone playful. "I don't mind, big boy," she teased.

Ignoring her, he changed into his undergarments. His body was stark white like an ethereal statue, with his only darkness coming from his horns. Seraphina was struck for a moment by his appearance. Finally, he pulled a white suit from his purple storage ring—a prize from an event. It could hold almost infinite items without any weight burden—and dressed. He activated his shape-shifting ability to hide his horns, transforming himself into an angelic figure.

As Lucifer finished changing, the golden light from the chandeliers cast a soft glow over his figure, highlighting every defined muscle and the smooth, pale complexion that looked almost otherworldly. His silver hair fell perfectly over his shoulders, framing his enchanting purple eyes, which held a quiet intensity.

Seraphina crossed her arms, a smirk playing on her lips as she eyed him up and down. "Not bad," she teased, her eyes glinting with amusement. "You clean up nicely for a demon. Almost a shame to cover you up."

Lucifer shot her a pointed look, but he couldn't help the faint smirk that tugged at his own lips.
